Does anyone have experience using this? I'm usually a fan of Logitech products, but I've been weary of these "Smart TV" appliances that have been popping up in the last 5 years. I do like the included Keyboard/mouse and the Chrome browser integration with this particular device, but I wonder how well it does things like playback HD YouTube videos, stream media in various formats from a network share (particularly mkv compatibility), etc...

This seems like a decent deal if it does all of the above and more, but I'll reserve judgement until I can get some feedback from you folks.

Skip the Revue, a lot of online content was specifically blocked for GoogleTV. I bought one for $100 and promptly returned it a few months ago.

I genuinely liked the Revue. Your mileage may vary.

I just stopped using it because my computer can do more than the Revue can.

EDIT: I guess I should also add, very little of the stuff I watch is traditional content. Most watched are things like TWiT shows, Revision3 shows, a decent amount of YouTube LPs, etc.

It plays hd youtube videos fine, I haven't tried mkvs yet but I have played movies from thumb drives and from the network. The main reason why you would choose this over the others is the keyboard/touchpad. It makes it so much easier.

I use mine daily, over my laptop with levono wireless mini keyboard.

I use it exclusively every day. We use it for netflix, pandora, google music, you tube, picasa photos, etc. I can play all my MP4 movies on my server to it as well. Works great. I love having it as I don't have to have a computer on my TV at all times.

Also, when my parents visit from out of state we rent a house for them and use the wifi usually provided to give them more TV options as well.

It is so easy, my three year old operates it.

I use one everyday. At that price point it's worth it.

the keyboard remote is really nice to have. I use it for netflix daily. youtube some as well. with the 3.1 based android update it is quite nice.

I wouldn't get another one, it's still stuck on 3.1 and buggy. I gave mine to my parents so they can watch netflix

I ended up with the Sony Bluray/GTV box

I have one. Even post-update the interface is a bit clumsy. The keyboard itself is a great piece of hardware, it's just a bit awkward to use. If you can get passed that, you do get a full keyboard and web browser over the Roku or Apple TV. For $73 it's worth it just to not have to turn on your pc to stream Netflix.

Roku is just awful, not even comparable

Like I said before, the keyboard/touchpad is the only thing that makes a difference over the others, so easy to control!
