I am an avid PC gamer....but have a soft spot for the original xbox Halo 1 CE.

With the help of my Sony FW900 CRT, I have semi-rekindled the fun of Halo CE with the new Halo CE Anniversary Edition on the xbox 360. But I miss the old school LAN play from the original xbox version that I used to have back in the day with my college roomates and find the Modern xbox live multiplayer "Game Lists," to be lacking. So I'd like to emulate a casual virtual online LAN of like minded gamers who would enjoy playing custom Halo CE Anniversary / Reach matches over Xbox Live.

My favorite game type matches are custom team variants of:
(1)King of the Hill
(2) Rally Flag Capture
(3) Hardcore Team Slayer (low health & no radar)
(4) Shotguns & pistols only matches
(5) Rockets only matches
(6) DieHard (Health & shields all jacked up)
(7) Capture the Flag

Please be advised that I LOVE RALLY, CAPTURE THE FLAG & KING OF THE HILL game types and they will occupy 3/4ths of the play list selections, while slayer gametypes will only be played sparingly. Also be advised that members must preferably be over the age of 25 and be mature enough to communicate like humans...I don't mind cursing...cursing is great actually....curse all you want....just for the love of GOD DO NOT SOUND LIKE A 13 YEAR OLD BOY ON RIDDLIN who is continuously making squalid squishy noises the entire match!

have yuou tried action sack and multi team? they have a bunch of different game types that can be right fun.
1) King of the hill is in team objective, big team battle, multi team.. On multi its insane.. good way to get granades/pistol kills.
2) dont have that but they do have rocket hog race in multi. You race around with a rocket hog hitting checkpoints on the map. passenger has grenade launcher or rockets. Grenade alt fire does an emp that stops the vehicle.. very useful to get ahead.
3) have you tried swat? its redicules the amounts of headshots that happen.
4) dont have but have a variation of it in action sack called shotty snipers. You have shotguns and snipers.
5) Action sack has something like this called splockets. Sparten lasers and rockets. Its quite entertaining.
6) dont know about this one.
7) CTF is in team objective.

One warning though, on the lower population playlists they can be a pain in the butt, because they genereally have the "hardcore" parties/clans that play and communicate well.
Your welcome to add me, i play almost everyday with quite a few people that are mostly casual..

BTW, if you or your son wants to unlock armor your not going to get much credits for playing custom.

Oh I'm an idiot...I changed my GT a while ago and forgot that I changed it lmao...I haven't played my xbox 360 in about a year so...yea...my new GT is BGASTORIES :cool:

I like action sack, but its gametype/map options are too restrictive. For example, action sacks warthog rocket race has destructable warthogs but the proper way to play warthog rocket race is with industructable warthogs. I'm just looking to get maybe a core base of 20 or so gamers together that want to kick back and play the maps & gametypes we want to play when we want to play them in more of a fun LAN spirit then the OMG I NEEDZ TEH EXPERIENZ POINTZ xbox live mentality.

Maybe if we get enough people together we can designate one night a week to play for a couple of hours.....kinda like a bowling night with the guys you know.

I'm DLing the CE tonight and I'll be online this weekend for sure. I LOVED 8v8 CTF on Blood Gulch and Sidewinder. I know I'm cliche but fucking a, loved it.

Yeah, the only time the hogs are destructible is when you are out of it. If even one person is in it, its not destructible. I think it adds a certain element to it.. kinda makes it intense when you on foot.
The big issue with reach, besides AAs, is the maps. Most of the default maps was designed around certain Armor Abilities (AAs) and makes the maps blow monkey balls compared to previous halos. Feels like a lot more camping/slower game play.

Out of the CE map pack, headlong/breakneck and Ridgeline/timberland play amazing and to me is a 10x better map than Hemorrhoids err Hemorrhage for 8v8! Though i do miss some sandtrap.

Blood Gulch & Sidewinder are amazing for 8v8 CTF, 8V8 King of the Hill, & 8v8 Invincible Wharthog Rocket Rally! I used to play those on 4way xbox lan with my friends for HOURS and HOURs and HOURS back in the day :cool:

Unfortunately CE doesn't have blood gulch or sidewinder :mad: There is a version of Bloodgulch on the Reach Disks which is good....but no sidewinder :mad:

The remade multiplayer maps that come on CE are damn good though...they did the originals proud!
