Very cool! Similar to what I am working on now except for some hardware changes (i5 2500k, Asrock z77e-ITX, GTX 580, etc, etc...) so this is cool to see it going so well!
Nice man. Really like to see how the SB performs on that board!

It's not available here in UK either. It's been listed on a few web stores for a while but no stock and no-one has any reliable date. The other Z77s were available right from the word go - all very fraustrating as I have a 3570K and SUGO 6 waiting. More and more tempting to give up and go Asrock.I could have sworn this appeared in NZ first, then the UK, then about 3 week later it hit The States. Are guys farther behind NZ in getting new tech?

I'm not too sure, this is really the only thing I have ever 'waited' for. And I seem to be extremely unlucky as it got recalled a month ago when they were over here in storage ready for dispatch. Now for some reason they aren't even being released any time soon. I found a website over here saying they are going to be up for purchase on the 6th of the 6th. Where another website said they were 'sold out' and it would be 2-3 weeks before getting any more stock. eBay has none listed on it either! I was really looking forward to making this itx build, but it's getting kind of rediculous now.
edit; and like the guy above said; every other single z77 board was availible straight away! Discrimination against ITX!

I'm not sure I follow. This item has not been for available anywhere in Europe. A few Asrocks have been seen and that's it. Asus even said it sold out in US before it had actually gone on sale when asked where it was. So they must have lost many thousand boards somewhere on the high seas because they don't seem to know where they are. Normally companies go out of their way to be helpful pre-sales and get stuff into retailers. Especially when there is demand .I really think this is because of the popularity of this board. Newegg in the States sold out in less than a day. I can't say if it's because of low inventory or demand for this board. My biased opinion is because of the popularity of this board due to the potential.

Those are the same fans I'm using! They're currently running at 300 rpm
Edit: I just noticed the cute doggie!
I run them manually in the UEFI. CPU Upper 70, CPU Max Duty 100, CPU Lower 20, CPU Min Duty 20. You can also play around with settings via Fan Xpert, but the above is fine for my silent needs. BTW, you want the pump connected to the chassis header and the fan(s) connected to the CPU header. Otherwise, the fans won't run below 40%. Yes, my name is Jocelyn. I'm originally from Philly and started getting into this stuff when I moved away from home (Pittsburgh, Madison, WI and now Oklahoma City).
Oh nice. Thanks for the tip. What about the fan config physically? How are they setup?
I grew up in Milwaukee. Have a lot of friends that went to Madison.
I hate to go OT, but I loved everything about Madison. How the city is setup, the people, just everything. I miss it dearly. As for config, I edited my post above. Does that answer you question???
Hi Miss,
Did you splice the two fans into the one CPU FAN header? How did you wire that?
Moogoos
Cold boot takes ~25 seconds, 10 of which are before the monitor even turns on. Mind you, rebooting/powering down can be completely avoided by using Intel Rapid Start. It's like S3, but writes everything to a 2-8GB partition on an SSD instead of the memory. This means the computer can be unplugged indefinitely and wake from sleep whenever you want.
I thought you had to use your SSD as a cache for your hard drive to use RST, you can do it if you partition your boot drive?
You're referring to rapid storage, while I was referring to rapid start
He used a PWM splitter cable like this:

Cool. Just went to my local parts store and grabbed a couple of these. Thanks!
Were they Gelid? I only ask because OKGear makes some crappy ones that have 4 pins on both connectors. One of the two extension connectors should have four pins and the other should have three.
Not sure who makes them. They are 4 pin all the way though. Generic from my local Central Computer. They seem pretty solid. I'll take a picture later. I have to turn the rad 180 degrees tonight so it will not interfere with the new card.
So I made a few big changes. The first was the H60 had a leak. It was so small that I never noticed it but when I was installing the GPU I felt a little bit of liquid. Booooo. Newegg was cool and RMA was approved. Went to my local shop and saw the H80 and thought I wonder if I can fit that thing in there. So I went for it, rethought the wiring and now am really happy with the results. With the 2 sythe PWM fans, one on the CPU the other on the chassis fan header, it's very quiet. Already 2 degrees cooler than before and much quieter.
What? That's HEAPS of room.
H60 leaking?! that's bad! Did you figure out where is it leaking from?
How do you connect the pump's power?
I need some advise on my build. I was planning to plug the pump into the chassis fan header, and the 2 pwm splitted and go to the CPU fan header.
I connected it directly to a molex adapter. It's optional with this model.
It's your call. I think you can do this but I figured the pump doesn't really need to be adjusted. Just plug it in and let it roll on direct power, use the chassis and CPU header for management of PWM fans. You can split the CPU header fan though too. MissJ84 has set hers up this way.

Create partition primary size=16384 id=84
I also was able to use Intel's Rapid Start on this machine. The process for doing so is to create a hibernate partition the same size as your RAM.
I heard that WOL and hibernate do not work wells together on cold boot. Can you give it a try later on?
Yeah I can try it out. What is the test case here? Enable both hibernate and WOL and cold boot it and see what?
