GTX 670 Listed at $415

Unfortunently Nvidias last gen cards can only drive two displays at a time, making them instant no go's for me. ATI's last gen cards are not GCN, and it seems silly to get a stream architecture chip now. So 28nm or bust for me.

Aye it was a bit silly of Nvidia not to have that feature in fermi.

I'm tired of waiting for affordable decent performance 28nm card. It's this or HD 7950. $349.99 is the budget right now.

7850 or pay extra for 670. Can't decide.

No paper launch??? Leaning towards 7850 now since no solid info.

I'm glad I didn't hold out for the 670. I picked up a 7950 for 349.99 and it will be going into my new build shortly. I will still be interested in how it stacks up against the 670, but considering I should be able to hit stock 680ish levels with a good OC I'm not too concerned the 670 will perform any better and considering the 670 costs more I can't really have gone too wrong with my purchase.

For the time being you made the best choice.

I'm in no hurry to upgrade so that is why I am not buying HD7950 right now. I really want to see how GTX 670 turns out. I really don't see how it will be able to perform better than the HD7950 and it will certainly not be able to compete with HD7950s 3GB of vram.

Well if it were $250, I would be a worthy upgrade for me from my 470 GTX then. At over $300, I'm not going to be getting one.

I have to agree with you my friend. I have a GTX 460 SOC, and for me to upgrade id like the $249 price as well. Then we could buy the SOC variant with better aftermarket cooling for $299. They would sell incredibly well at those prices. But over $300 is too high. But alas I will wait and see performance numbers from [H] when they grab one. By then my mind may be changed.

Ya I was really hoping for a 670 that was priced around $350 and performed about the same as the 7950. But since I hadn't heard anything last week I just ordered my 7950 with the price drop that puts it into the range I wanted.

I was really all set to go with NV this time around, but they just can't seem to get their mid-high range cards to market and with reasonable quantities.

I still won't touch CFX with a ten foot pole, but at least I haven't had any single card issues with AMD so far. I'll be keeping a close eye on the 670 to see how it fits into the lineup. At $415 it seems like a very difficult spot to fill. More than anything let's hope there's a reasonable amount of stock to keep people from paying a premium beyond the MSRP when they can find one.

I'll wait until nVidia actually announces that price before calling it one way or the other. As far as the 2GB RAM buffer is concerned the GTX 680 keeps up or beats the 3GB 7970 (Kyle has outright stated that nVidia is suspected to have better memory management and usage compared to AMD). Yeah $400 might suck, it might not really be $400, or it might really perform as well someone would expect for $400. Wait and see.

All I see is that a Canadian website has leaked a preliminary advertisement that neither confirms nor denies anything about the card, nor can we draw any conclusions about what it would cost in the US.

My 7850 is on backorder. Still have chance to cancel order.

I wish nvidia would just release official 670 info, worried about affecting 580 sales perhaps. Seems pretty sure coming at $399 though.

570's seem to be fully stocked as well, seems true the rumor of 660ti coming 6 months later.

So it will be like 300 quid in the UK with the 20 percent VAT courtesy of our shitty government, Gonna have to wait lol.

Here's hoping to a $350-380 price range. If it is, I'm picking up four. Two for each rig. Time to ditch them GTX480's and get something that's faster and quieter, and cooler. Damn them GTX480's are too hot. :p

man you are really bending rules there:p

$250 is my max - and if more ppl stoodfast these crazy prices would tumble.

It's not like these cards cost more than $50 to make.

fuck i was hoping to sli two of these but not for 800 bucks - i'd rather get two 7970s and cfx them for the price

That's exactly why 670 took so long. They need to clear out 580s from channel and selling them at $399 does that. What value will a 580 have when 670s stomp it for same price...like $300 I suspect. They need to get rid of 580s before that.

NVIDIA give me a card that is priced around $300 that has crazy over clock potential by those who know how to water cool and modify BIOS voltages.

That is all I want.

NVIDIA delivered with GTX 560 ti 448 for over clocking ability. Just want something similar in GK104 flavor.
