2700K down to $279
2600K down to $259
2500K down to $169
i3 2100 down to $89
Pentium G620 down to $49
Celeron G530 down to $35

Im guessing these are feeler price drops to see how it effects sales. If most people still go for Ivy I expect another $10-20 drop by the end of the month on the K models.

Too bad you can't OC that Celeron. I can't think of anything else that touches it in the $35 range.

I havent checked, but I would think the Sempron 145 would be better since it can OC pretty well, at least if you get one that unlocks. Ive had a 140 before that unlocked and ran 4Ghz stable like it was nothing.

Hoping for another 2600K for $200 deal. I couldn't get my order in fast enough the last time before they ran out. Luckily my i5 750 is still working like a champ at 3.8GHz.

I have an unopened 2600k that I might let go for cheaper than those MC prices (caught the ivy bridge lust ;) )

I took advantage of this deal yesterday. Got myself a 2500k, Asus P8Z68 Pro/GEN3 and 8GB PC1600 ram for $400! :D

Picked up an I5-2500k + asus p8z68-v lx for 229.98+tax today, z68/z77 board have an additional $50 price break if bought with a processor right now

I hate Microcenter threads. It makes it so painful to buy from anywhere else.

I'm seeing that $50 only on a couple boards combined with Ivy. Deal changed or am I missing something?

I think in store they will discount pretty much any board as long as you buy a CPU. Online they were only discounting certain Z77 boards, but I'm not sure they meant that discount to be available online anyway.

Hmmm... So the best bet is to order just the CPU online if I want a different board?

You can try adding it to the cart and seeing if it will give you a discount, but yes, you're probably better off just getting the CPU if you want a different board.

Personally, I wanted the Sabertooth, but I got the P8Z77-V Pro because it was an extra $50 off. I figured it wasn't worth $70 extra just for the Sabertooth.

Had some people who didn't believe the discount applied to the 2500k on slickdeals, here's the receipt if anyone needs to show the cashier or whatever

So did you get the 2500k with the Z77 board or the 3750k? Asking because I can't tell if the board discount applies to just IB CPUs or SB as well.

3570k, but I'm pretty sure they were running the same deal prior to the IB release with the 2500k.

MC should start buying up BB stores. They'd do so well.

I think their small footprint is what allows them to do what they do. Don't think they would be able to do what they do with the Best Buy footprint (which is why Best Buy is going under).

The 2500K, 2600K, 2700K, and 3570K get $50 off any compatable board.

Also, dont forget you can get the discount on open box boards. MSI and ASUS are by serial number, so you still get full warranty with them, and should with Gigabyte as well since you have a reciept. Plus, if there is a MIR for a new board, it will still work on the open box board.

There are price mistakes on the open box items some times too. I got a P8Z68-V Pro for $58 open box without the $50 discount (wasnt buying a CPU that day). And if there are any missing cables, manual/disc, or IO shield, you can get them to lower the price more. They took $10 off a board for me because it was missing one SATA cable.

The discount applies to SB Boards aswell, I got a 2500K for $169 and a P8Z68-V Pro/Gen3 for $149 (List price was $199).

I've never been to MC before, so what I know about them is just based on what I read in forums like this. I was under the impression it was a smaller version of Fry's, but I didn't know it was also smaller than BB. I wish there was an MC near me. The closest one is about a 60 mi. hike, if not more. :(

They refused to give me the $50 off on a open box board the 2nd time :( They first once time, I got a P8Z68 Pro for 29.98

Just ask to speak with a manager. The computer wont do it automatically, the manager has to over ride it. Ive done it four times now.

I called before hand to make sure I could do it, they told me yes. I even asked the guy who gave me the motherboard if it would work. He told me it would work. When I got to the register they called the guy over to override. He said he had to ask a manager, she said no. I asked her to come up to explain to her I came just for the purpose of buying the open box board with the $50 off, That I called in advance. She said she can't do it. She told me she could take the $50 off of the original price. I told her it made no sense, It would be the same price as a new one. I continued to argue with her, she told me she isn't going to repeat herself. I was nice to begin with, I ended up filing a complaint. FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU

Probably tougher manager at the Dallas location or I caught the wrong one on the wrong day. I've had problems like that in the NY Yonkers locations but most people over there are dicks to begin with.

That sucks. Only probablem Ive had at the Mayfield Heights Ohio location was one of the managers wouldnt let me buy two AMD CPUs at the same time once (Sempron 145 and Phenom II 830) even though I had done so many times before. Had to have my GF come in and buy one of them.

Just returned from a trip to Minneapolis. There is a Micro Center near by in St. Louis Park. Had never been to one before. Great store. They were advertising the $50 dollars off any motherboard with the purchase of an Intel CPU. Kinda glad I don't live near one, it would really dent the budget.

The Gigabyte Z77X-UD3H now has a larger discount with the 3570K making the combo $300.

I popped my MC cherry today while visiting relatives in Cleveland. Scored a 3570K + Asrock Z77 Pro4 for $280 out the door. Also picked up a 3770K for a friend but couldn't get the mobo discount with that chip.

The experience could've been a little smoother, but I was impressed with the selection, & staff seemed far more knowledgeable than usual in retail.

Oh, and the $110 UD3H looks like some sort of error. Put it in the cart with a 3570K, & you'll see $127 still. It also rang at $127 in the store today, so... I didn't push for the extra discount since the Asrock was only $70 with my CPU, so YMMV.
