COD:MW3 free weekend

I played the last free weekend. I couldn't believe how awful the game actually is. MW3 is just complete trash. We all hate on CoD but you can't know how shitty it is until you play it for yourself.

And yeah, there was a fucking shit load of hackers.

Too be fair , in almost every BF3 game I've played I've seen hackers banned. Just using BF3 as a recent example of a very popular FPS.

You can't avoid hacking although Activision could do more to help prevent it.

Anyway's , its a free weekend. At the very least people can play it , form an opinion based off experience instead of word of mouth bullshit.
 
MP only, or can I run through the SP for free? Never been a fan of the MP, but the SP is fun enough for some over the top action.
 
MP only. God knows why you would want to play COD SP , its pretty awful like most major FPS SP experiences.

Different strokes, my friend. Honestly most MP seems to be turning me off nowadays, I keep screaming at kids to get off my lawn and in the good ol' days I'd AWP them midair while I was spinning in circles and making a sandwich at the same time.

Yeah, anger issues, I know. Consuming a lot of booze during doesn't help either...I can only stand it if I have several friends on playing as well.

I bought it, beat the SP, played like 6 hours total online or so(clan mates) and haven't touched it since. I loved MW2 and all the ones before that(black ops had a good SP and MP was decent I guess) but I can't stand MW3.

The only opinion anyone will have about this game is what a piece of shit it is.
 
I think Black Ops and World at War are the best multiplayer installments so far. I did enjoy the single player for all of them though.

I think MW3's multiplayer is the worst.
 
I am a HUGE fan of the CoD series but only play MW3 on the 360. (with m/kb mind you) I tried it on the last "free weekend" and EVERY SINGLE FFA match I got into had an aimbot. I shit you not.

I'm sure it was because of the "free weekend" and all, but lord jeebus it was ridonkulous.
 
Jesus people. I'm not really a COD fan, but come on. It's a free weekend. At this point I'd rather play an Activion game than an EA one anyway.
 
The game was pretty much dead during the last Free-weekend which is pretty sad. I could barely find a good game during peak hours and the dedicated servers stay dead most of the time.

Oh well, it's not like the game is any different from the last 5 cods...
 
Meh, played the game on the last free weekend. I thought it was fun, I've gotten joy out of all the COD games I've played, but I'm still not buying it based on the fact I'm not paying to buy something that, while enjoyable, is still worse than COD4.

When it comes to COD I think your average enthusiast gamer goes in with blood tinted glasses never having played it and hating the game, and then they play it with those tinted glasses skewing their perception and still hate it. From my perspective I still think it's a solid multiplayer and even on the free weekends I get a few hours of fun out of them, but no, I'm not going to buy it.

Also I support free weekends, I think they're a great idea to let players test a game without having to buy it or pirate it. More companies should do this.

I follow the steam stats everytime a new COD comes out. When MW2 came out it was literally at the top of steam for a couple weeks. Above counter-strike and counter-strike source for a long time. Then Black ops came out. It initially matched or came close to source and cs for maybe a few days. The impression I got was two-fold. There was some stigma attached to it not being and IW game and secondly it was notorious for stuttering. I experienced it myself. Anyway after maybe a week. It shot down the latter and never recovered.

Then CODMW3 came out and it barely matched counter-strike source on launch day. It's stayed reasonably consistent at around 40k players so it can;t be that awful. I'm sort of curious about the demographics this time around. A lot of people playing but not nearly the excitement of MW2 despite what I've heard is an overall improvement.

I admittedly have no real interest in playing the free weekends. Only because as other stated too many hackers and jerks. Funny thing is of the 3 games I prefer MW1's multiplayer at this time.
