first it was league of legends, the game just wouldnt start at all on my normal (only at the time) windows user profile. i tried to reinstall, run as administrator and every other trick i could think of, but nothing worked. google search came up with a thread where others were experiencing similar issues and someone suggested creating a new user profile and running the game in that. so i did and it magically worked. not that big of a deal for a multiplayer only game with virtually no local user data to store.
i thought it was a LoL specific problem so i ignored it, just switched user accounts when i wanted to play and switched back when i was done. today it happened with mass effect 3. i try to start the game on my normal user profile and it causes an error every time before even getting to the bioware logo. i switched user accounts and sure enough everything worked. the problem is that i dont have my save game on the other user account. this is high annoying and while i probably could transfer my save game to the other profile, i would really like to just correct the issue if i can.
anyone have any ideas?
