$238.99 240GB Muskin.SSD SandForce SF-2281

It is. This is $1/GB for the top-end Chronos Deluxe, which uses high-speed Toggle (synchronous) flash.

Wooooo, even better than my Sandisk Extreme for $280.

It's natural to want to stock up on SSDs just for the hell of it...right?

Indeed. These are great drives! One of the best SF-based SSDs and that's an amazing price. Low power consumption as well due to being Toggle NAND so you can stick them in a laptop.

Oh WTF!?!? I've jumped on each of the M4 128GB deals recently, so I have a few of those. I feel like I should grab one and store it for my next laptop purchase. Someone please post out of stock so I can move on! :D

Is this a better deal than the Samsung 830 256GB for $299 from the egg?

Any real difference in the drives (aside from the obvious controller difference, but should I care?)

Thanks.

Nice I combined the amazon price with the certificates amazon local was selling abut a month ago for a combined price of $208. I really don't need this thing but damn I want it lol.

Considering this is one of the fastest drives on the market and it is also significantly cheaper (almost 15%) I would say yes

Wonder what I could sell my Crucial M4 128GB for. I could really use the extra space. But I wouldn't need the M4.

damn i just bought one of these for $40 more, amazing drive and deal. very happy with mine.

amazon is sold out, but still accepted the order. willing to wait since its free shipping and doesnt have sales tax tacked on to it automatically

is this drive faster than corsair force gt

2xnm Sync Nand (Force GT) is slightly faster than 34nm Toggle Nand (Enhanced Chronos Deluxe), but the Toggle has more durability (5000 write cycles vs. 3000). I'd go with this over the GT personally.

Try to get credited via chat :)

Hell yeahhhhhh. Nice OP.
The 60gb version has been $85 for the past few days.
best deal by far.

You're unlikely to notice. The degradation is taken to extremes in SSD reviews because it allows for maximizing the differences and easier to write an informative article. Users are almost certainly never going to torture their SSDs like that. Generally the Marvell-based drives do better in that regard but that also depends more on firmware than it does with SF-2281 drives.

The TRIM support is as good as any other SandForce SSD.

Great read speeds

The biggest difference between the SandForce drives seems to be NAND and price. This Mushkin deal blitzes them all in both respects =P

haha. I did. I bought 2 Crucial 128GB drives for the hell of it.. Not sure if i'll raid them or just leave them for the next build.

Fuuuuuuuuuuuuuck I bit. Gonna try to sell the 64GB M4 for $60... Anyone? :D

I spoke to an Amazon rep.
He said even though the SSDs are OOS orders will be fulfilled in a couple of days.
Something to consider if you have an Amazon Store Card and not a Newegg Card.

So I got my drive. Connected, formated. Ran Crystaldisk with it as a slave and it's highest Read is like 380mb/s... what gives? I've run it multiple times. Hooked up to a SATA6 port and all

Jeez.. I know what you mean. My wallet's been hurting lately.

received mine today

the SSD hauls ass, even on my SATA 2 controller

Yea, received and installed on mine. Working great.

Alright my bios wasn't set to ahci for some reason. Read/Write scores are much better now.

can you post screenshot of as ssd and crystalmark
my is coming end of next week, just anxious to see benchmark

I reinstalled the driver but didn't see much improvement if any. Got some faster read access times though. Throwing in this benchmark for kicks.
