Hello everyone, I am thinking about a new gaming mouse to replace my old Logitech G5. I have heard good things about the Steeleries Sensei mouse, just wondering if anyone here on the Hardforum uses one and what your feedback is? Ergonomics, features and worth the price?

Thanks for any info!

I had one, it didn't last very long and the tracking was horrible. Got a G500 and haven't looked back since.

You know they have the same sensor, right? The Sensei just has optional interpolation up to 11400 DPI. As it turns out, testing on Overclock.net shows that the new firmware on the Sensei's version of the Avago 9500 tracks better on cloth pads in particular.

If you prefer the shape of the G500, fine, but the tracking is not better than the Sensei's.

did they update the xai too? maybe it's time to dust off my xai...

I have a Sensai. Previously used a Razr Diamondback! The tracking is great, don't have any issues. It's a little wider than my old Diamondback, but overall feels nice.

Well the sensor inside my Sensei was broken and wouldn't detect movement properly (at all, actually), and the sensor inside my G500 isn't. So build quality is really what I am getting at here.

I have one but it the sensor is kinda weird. i use my cm storm spawn now all the time tho.

I have one, and a couple of things bother me: The buttons on the right side are too easy to accidentally hit and too difficult to purposely hit, and the scroll wheel can't scroll left/right.

I've only had it for about a week, though.

got the Xai from newegg for 28 shipped refurbished. its pretty good but a bit too big and heavy for me. similar to Sensei. bought the Kana, still waiting for proper feet from SS as they made booboo and shipped with cheap plastic thats sticks like glue and not teflon. if Kana doesnt work out im sticking my my Zowie AM GS.
