So I was reading the release notes for ESXi 5 update 1 and noticed that it added support for new versions of OS X Lion Server. Does this mean that I can install a VM of OS X Lion on my ESXi machine, or is it still limited to just Apple hardware? (I am talking about legit copies, not using any workarounds found on Google)

Yes install, it finally fixes the vSphere Client so it remembers you unchecked "Show VMs in Inventory" under the Host and Clusters view.

Doesn't look like the setting sticks between sessions but we are getting there!

I heard the update broke autostarting/shutdown of vm's though. Any particular fixes that are noteworthy or critical?

I can confirm the autostart/stop is borked but apparently only for free licenses.

hahaha, this makes me want to install it right now ;).

I wonder if the svMotion not renaming VMs to match the display name has been fixed. This issue is a huge pita.

Pushing it to our productions servers this weekend.

Holding off on our view environment for a bit though.. shit gets messy some times so we give it a longer burn in time before deploying to prod.

I can confirm sVmotion does rename the folder to match the vm display name.
