Card was used for a few days, and I thought it was defective. It wasn't - the problem was my own stupidity. I forgot to flip the switch on the card to enable the right display output config (one mode cuts one of the DPs in favor of a dual link DVI). Unfortunately, I ended up getting another one before I found out what the problem is. I can return this one to Amazon, but would rather sell here if anyone is interested.

Comes literally "as new" with plastic on the backplate and all, box will be like opened for first time.

Asking $580 shipped. Never registered for warranty, so the buyer would be the original owner for warranty purposes. Yes, I realize this is the price they can be had for new, but given their poor availability, I figure its not unreasonable. Plus, to go any lower I'd rather just ship back to Amazon and get my refund. I take Amazon Payments and check, money order/certified funds.

Would love to tell you, but I never really tried. I ran it briefly at 1100/1550 and it had no problems in Crysis 2 eyefinity (high res + DX11) or Heaven looped, but I never pushed it since I started having "issues". Naturally, these were not really issues, they were my own stupidity.

Also, I probably should have said this in the first post, but I take Amazon payments or check/money order/certified funds. I hate paypal and I would prefer not to give them my business. Nor do I wish to pay a fee when I don't have to. I'll update the OP.

Fair enough. If I buy I want to OC to 1300 core or higher - the vrms are well cooled right in this version

Given what you're saying, I'm not sure this is really what you're looking for. I really can't guarantee such a high OC. From what I understand reliable 1300 is not at all common on any 7970 on air. To be frank, given what I've seen in the 7970 OCing thread, it seems like less than 5% of all 7970s are able to hit 1300 on air (stable), so without knowing, it makes me really skeptical as to whether you'd be able to hit it with this card.

With respect to the VRMs, I've been following the 20-some page thread on this card, and to my knowledge there has never been a DC2T released that has VRM temps that don't hit in the upper 90s-100s on air. This card is the same. There is a version with a cutout in the backplate, but from the numbers I've seen posted, it doesn't really affect temps that much. This version does not have the cutout.

Not trying to put you off the sale, but I'm all about full disclosure. I really don't want to promise you something I can't deliver on.

I can post some pics when I get home. It will literally come like new though - there was no seal sticker or cellophane that couldn't be opened with tape, so I packaged it back up exactly as I got it.

ive been trying to follow that thread too. i'm not really sure what safe vrm temps are and whats the best temp solution
