AV license expires today; looking for input on what to change to

I have used VIPRE Premium for the last year and while it is decent, it has some quite irritating issues like blocking sites it "knows" to be bad that aren't and the same with files (it even blocked all of Alcohol Software's site). However, it was lightweight in resource usage and speed of scanning. It's learning firewall can be annoying at first, but it's solid. However, it scored lower than I like on AV-test.org.

I had used BitDefender before and liked it and it seems to have since gotten better, even taking the top notch on AV-test.org. However, I fail to see how an AV program needs almost 2GB of drive space. But if it's light on resources then I guess I don't care too much.

In the end, I am looking for the best overall and welcome any suggestions. I have no problem with paid versions, so that is not really a consideration.

I'd just use MSE or Avast and be done with it, but if you want a paid AV, Kaspersky is a good choice too.

I still vote MSE. Its light and fast and never bothers me.
