Is my PSU going bad based on these numbers?:

Hey guys,

I've been having some strange problems (artifacting, flashing, blank screens for a few seconds etc) and I suspected it was my GTX570 but I'm now thinking it might be the PSU based on the numbers I'm seeing from SpeedFan.

Specs:
MSI P55-GD55
i7 860 @ 4.0Ghz
4GB Corsair Dominator 1600
Single EVGA GTX570
2x WD Caviar Black 1TB
Corsair 620HX PSU
LG 246W 24" LCD

SpeedFan shows these numbers idle on the desktop:

VCC3V: 3.38V
Vcore: 1.37V
VDDA: 2.10V
+12V: 10.47V
Vdimm: 2.21V
VLDT: 0.00V
VCC1.5V: 0.26V
VSB3V: 3.31V
Vbat: 3.23V

The low 12V and VCC1.5V numbers have me worried. The PSU is at least 5 or 6 years old, this is the third system I've used it in since I bought it...

Is this probably PSU related? If so, what should I replace it with - I'm willing to spend to get something that will last another few systems - are those Seasonic Platinums worth the price?

Thanks!

i'm not sure if your PSU is going bad or not but voltages being THAT off can't be good

Seasonic's are supposed to be the end all psu's, but personally i would just pick up another corsair psu, you may also still have warranty with corsair (no idea how long their warranty is), in which case you could RMA it.

I need my computer for work, can't really afford to RMA... I want to get something with more wattage anyway in case I decide to do SLI or whatever in the future. I'm gonna build a new machine when Ivy Bridge comes out and I was thinking about getting a second 570 when I do that.

Software readings are not measurements, they are guesses(at best).
At 10.47v your system wouldn't boot.

If you want proper voltage readings you need a multimeter, otherwise don't bother with software readings, they're completely irrelevant.

I ordered the Kingwin Lazer Platinum 1000 a bit ago. Even if the Corsair is actually still OK I'd planned on getting a new one anyway with the new system, so this is fine... thanks guys!

Bad news - the problems still persist after installing the Kingwin (very nice unit btw)...

RMAing the GPU now... sigh.
