Jane’s Advanced Strike Fighters - March 9th

I'm in for a copy as long as it doesn't have some ridiculous DRM. I love realistic sims and arcade sims (Crimson Skies FTW). Anything is better than nothing in this market, and there haven't been very many good flight sims (of either kind) released in the past couple years for PC.

i'll be buying this as long as all the jets have semi realistic characteristics to them unlike HAWX where the A-10 flew exactly like the F-22..

gah this means i need to buy a joystick now since i accidently left mine behind at my old place.

This is not a Sim.

This is in the zone of Hawx, etc.

Yeah. I remember when I first heard about this I was like :D

Then I saw actual videos and I was like :( and then

Jane must be rolling over in his grave over this shit.

I was excited about an arcade fighter game 'till I read "A-10 flew exactly like the F-22." Surely that game doesn't exist.

Pure shit. I can't believe they have the gaul to put Jane's in the title of that game.

no i was referring to HAWX which is about as "arcade" as it gets.

lol i don't know if they can get it closer to the sim side of it i think it could be a great game. problem is the demographic of todays gamers just doesn't work with the true flight sim types any more. if they have to press more then 2 buttons to fly, its to complicated.

"Like when the two jets clip each other at high speed. The pilots end up a lot less dead than I expected."

This probably sums it all up for those wanting a pure sim.

I miss Crimson Skies Multi-player, this is certainly no contender to Falcon Free, or A-10C, I'd be more interested in Combat Aces series than this, if I was looking for an arcade flyer.

This makes me sad. I was a tester for EA's Jane's group and worked on USAF and F/A-18 and loved every minute of it. When I first heard about this I was stoked, but then saw that it was arcade style. :(

If that were true, DCS Blackshark/A-10, the IL-2 series, X-Plane, MS Flightsim, etc would not be the hits that they are. There are tons of people that want simulators and there are tons of people that want aracade gameplay.
