Where is Skyrim screenshot thread?

Hey gionight i'm just curious--do you actually play the game with all these characters or just make them and dress them and take pictures? =P

(this is not criticism, really! just curiosity.)

Yeah, I really like tweak games and take screenshots almost as much as playing them or maybe even more .

Some of my favorites. Some were use using some lighting mod, then the cinematic ENB config, and then Yadda's realistic ENB config. These are in order from old to new.

My new male char and slightly changed elf female.
Pay attention to his face expression, he can play any role :).

Image taken using latest version of Realistic Lighting + Dragon Warrior Effects, plus all the usual Water, Texture and Floral mods.

To my knowledge, the following were used (main stuff obviously, I can't remember everything I had at the time):
Vurt's Flora Overhaul
Realistic Water Textures
Skyrim HD
Better rain
Cinematic ENB
And I believe there was another lighting mod that I had going (don't think it was realistic lighting but that is what I'm using now. If I remember anything I'll pm you.)

@Katatonic
Your link had an extra http in it. Proper link: http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/197/tesv2012021522385724.jpg/

Thanks, was working on it as you posted, I'm somewhat new to image hosting. Think it's been fixed.

Good stuff. Thank you sir.
I've been trying to find an ENB I really like (or just go with the realistic lighting), but there are so many it's tough. The cinematic was one I keep coming back to though, so that's good to hear.

Yeah, I liked the cinematic mod, but after a while I got tired of seeing purple rocks and stuff. It doesn't happen all the time, but during certain times of the day, colors can get a little wonky. Right now though I'm using Yadda's ENB along with Realistic Lighting with Customizing. Gives a pretty good realistic lighting config. Nice outside, pretty dark inside of dungeons. Works really well with the Sounds of Skyrim mod.

Thank you Gionight. Those shots are excellent! I still havent sunk any hours in Skyrim, but will now after seeing those screenshots. I showed them to a friend of mind, and he ditched his Xbox version to pick the game on PC. Nice job!

Thanks mate but I didn't do anything special.
Ok, than Thank you Deanx0r in return :) and I really glad to hear this pics convince your friend to get PC version.

Co-worker bought it originally on the PS3, then got a computer that could run it and got if for the PC. He couldn't believe the difference. He said he wanted to cry tears of joy.

Dang, nice shots guys.

@Katatonic Did you play with the DoF settings or is that how it's set up initially? That's the last thing that I really "need" for my setup.

Completely agree with you. I already had a tears of joy when I roll back to my old 0.99v preset after several days of tweaking 0.102v.

The DoF is accomplished using the "Dragon Warrior" mod, which is compatible with the "Realistic Lighting" mod. Once the mod is activated in the loader, you will find a book called "imagicon" in your inventory (give it 30 seconds to load upon loading a save for the first time) and you can tweak the DoF. In the book you will find 5 or 6 adjustable settings (soon to be more), I have brightness, contrast and saturation all set to level 2 and DoF set to 7. Anything less than 7 will give you a nice distant DoF but won't really give close objects any added sense of significance. Anything above 7 or 8 hides a lot of the world detail and I would recommend one of the dynamic DoF mods like Visual Immersion if you want to go that route: http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/downloads/file.php?id=5587.

Only ENB mods use Dynamic DoF at this point (to my knowledge) and the latest version of ENB actually breaks the DoF in Visual Immersion. I think that Dynamic DoF will conceal too much of the beauty in Skyrim, which renders distant objects fairly well, with some exceptions. For instance the Sky and the mountains are spectacular (particularly with mods) but distant land, trees and objects are marginal at best. Unfortunately all DoF mods will blur sky and mountains but conceal hideous land and objects. The DW DoF at least allows you to see close and fairly distant objects if set to a lower setting.

Edit: Be aware that any settings you adjust and save using the DW console (via the book) will only apply to saves made after the initial adjustment, any previous saves will not have those settings locked in.

Just tried this mod and it's very handy.

Personally I hate any form of DOF, be it static or so called dynamic in almost any game, it blurs to much for my liking, Skyrim ingame DOF is more than enough in my opinion.

How do you get there to be no neck line with these body improvement mods? It feels like i've tried every combination of those available, but there's always a friggin neck line.

Couple more. Something started owning my fps, not entirely sure what it was so I dropped the AA back to 4 until I figure it out.

I have the same neck line issue as you :( and I can't solve it with CBBE skin mixer or something like this, just don't remember correct term.

BOSS says I'm running 68 total plugins. I'm trying to slim it down though. I already brought it down from over 70 lol. Extensive mod testing involving turning things on/off, saving, restarting, etc makes it a slow process and I keep finding cool stuff to download :(

I think now is time to get out of here this thread is dead .
I killed it by my own hands, God Dammed!

I still come to check out the screens and such, but there's only so many times you can say "cool" and I'm not really into taking screenshots myself ;)
