I've got those same speakers. Nice. $23 5-years ago it was a pretty good investment. They sure don't make em like they used to.

yeah i have had those speakers for over 10 years I think... I had them before I met my wife ...lol

I paid hmm maybe $30 for them super deal actually

our beloved and now departed cat chewed through the damned pc cable however... I cut out out the damaged section and soldered / and used some heat shrink, they work great now

but they didn't work for a bit till it fixed them...god damned cat did the same thing to my logitech Z560s also...lol.. still I miss the little bastard..:)

Dude - this is nearly identical to my computer now, just a 4850 instead of 4890. I am going to give it to my girlfriend when I build a new one this year. :)

It's been a great system, she only uses it for Facebook and occasional casual game. I've been meaning to add FAH or a torrent client to take advantage of it.

Well, I think this is the closest she's ever going to come to a "desktop computer." Especially seeing as how she has an iPad now... Maybe someday I'll put my old parts together for a kitchen computer that she can use for recipes, but she even uses the iPad for that now. Hmm. She plays C&C Generals, so maybe when Generals 2 comes out she'll need one? A man can only hope.

ASRock 939 MB
Athlon XP 3200+
2 Gigs RAM
eVGA 7900 GTO (I don't think it's worth bothering putting in the 4870 with that CPU)
OCZ 500 watt PSU
Logitech G5 mouse
Old 19" tower case
One of the 22" monitors with the VGA connection, when I'm not gaming on my triple screens with the display port to DVI cable

My wife has:
AMD Athlon 2 x3 unlocked to an x4
Gigabyte 785g (I think) AM2+ Mobo
4 gb DDR2 800
AMD Radeon 5750 (Engineering sample AMD gave me)
Thermaltake Toughpower 730W I think (I know its WAYYY more than needed, but hers died past warranty and this was the RMA replacement for my old 650W toughpower and I didn't want to buy another.)
20" 1600x1200 display (didn't want more monitors even though I have 3 more 19" 1280x1024s sitting under my desk). I'll post pics when I get the chance.

My wife's rig. Meanwhile they are my older parts, they are good older parts. Please excuse the mess ;)

q9550 @ 4.4
6gb DDR2
Asus Maximus II Formula P45
XFX 6850 1gb 850/1200
MicroCenter 60gb SSD (SF1200)
