Good place to buy HDMI/Ethernet Cables?

I bought a pack of 10 ft Ethernet cables from Cables to Go but lately when i went back their prices shot up. Their HDMI cables were too high. Any recommendations?
 
Monoprice.com

No other place. Quality stuff.
I will warn you though, that heavier HDMI cables may ruin the ports due to the extra weight shifting.
One of my HDMI ports on my receiver went bad because the cable was shifted a couple of times.

Just stick with the regular lightweight HDMI cables.

This. Just be patient on the shipping.

I ordered a Mini DP cable on the 9th, the same day I ordered my Radeon 7970, and the cable just got here today. 'course, at Newegg I spent $557.86, and at Monoprice, I spent $6.61. But still.

Pay for upgraded shipping if you're less patient than me, and you'll still pay less total for the cables than you will at most places.
 
Onesaleaday.com has HDMI cables for $1 free shipping from time to time, but you've got to wait for it.

I'm very curious about this. Which are the cables that are lighter?

Bah SO many choices. Flat, w/ ethernet, w/dvi. What does it all mean. XD
 
If you need a B+M store, the store "Five Below" has them around me for $3 for a 6 ft cable. Not as cheap as monoprice, but you could get it immediately in a pinch.

Monoprice offers the cables in optional wire gauges. The thicker gauge cables are theoretically high-quality cables, but they are heavier and less flexible.

Oh, and +1 more for recommending Monoprice. I've used them for years and recommend them to all my friends.

Bingo. The heavy cable that caused the damage was their "Premium 24AWG" cable with the mesh jacket.

I would never recommend monoprice's premium HDMI cables due to the damage they can cause to the ports. They're great for longer runs, but I would plug them into a switch or a lighter cable instead of directly to the TV or Receiver. Be careful that the cable doesn't cause stress on the port if you do buy the premium cables.
 
I use monoprice for almost all of my cable purchases.

The only exception is their "premium" component video/RCA style cable.
I find that the connectors they use on these cables do not hold well without being pinched more.
 
Another +1 for monoprice. Also - agree with the comments about their uber thick cables - go with something slightly smaller. Especially for shorter runs.
 
Monoprice, no other place, they sell everything you need cable wise, I even got some sweet instrument cables from them :D

They also have great velcro cable ties for .36 for a 5 pack :D

what tests? only test i have seen is when someone compared a monster cable to a coat hanger and the audiophiles couldnt tell the difference. that was analog sound though, and for a digital signal then it really really shouldnt matter from what i can tell. either the picture is perfect or it cuts in and out. there is no fuzz. therefore "higher quality" for an hdmi cable shouldnt make sense except for "higher guage" which just means it can make a longer run without losing the signal.

oh and MONOPRIIIIIIIIIIIIIICE.

Monoprice is good.. But there shipping kills everything. Monoprice is only good if you buy bulk.
 
WTF all i can say when i looked at monoprice for the first time today, they have no black cables most are white specially displayport cables.
 
amazon is also pretty good

bought a 100ft + 25ft cat6 cable, both work great
also bought 25ft + 50ft hdmi, and a bunch of assorted length cat5 cables in the past

Also if you live in CA you can get overnite for <$5 usually.
 
Another monoprice.com vote from me, although when I do actually order from them, there are a number of items in my cart to not get owned by shipping.

i would watch out for amazon. they do have some good cables at good prices, but they dont do any sort of quality control. they just let anyone post whatever. i got an ethernet cable from there that had good feedback and it ended up being a really small gage, and the plastic sleeving didnt even fit it so that you could pinch the sleeving without pinching the cable. it was just really poor quality, and i think it failed on me today as i cant find anything else that might be the problem. total, lasted about 3 or 4 months. :/ just a few minutes ago i bought a cable to replace it from amazon, but it was a monoprice cable through amazon. i had amazon credit already, plus the amazon seller charged $4.96 shipping and monoprice wanted $13.85. :)

Can't believe people actually by from affiliate sellers. ONLY buy from amazon
 
Monoprice, as mentioned already a few times.

But the shipping is a killer, so you do want to make a big order. I usually try to order about 100 bucks worth of stuff (that will surprisingly be a lot) so that the shipping is at least not higher than the actual items worth.

Even after shipping it still ends up cheaper than buying anywhere else though. I don't make my own patch cords anymore, because they are so cheap on Monoprice, and factory made is always better than hand made when it comes to gigabit.

ive gotten plenty of great things from affiliate sellers. just cant bring myself to pay 1.5x as much for shipping than for the actual item at monoprice.com

But it's chocolate colored, it's gold plated, and it's 65.6 feet! They even throw in 6 extra inches in there as a safeguard in case you did not measure properly! Only problem is that it's not Monster cable. But AudioQuest is the next best thing.

I can't believe the scams that go on with HDMI cables though, and the fact that it's actually legal to do it.
 
if you have a frys close by, they have plenty of cheap HDMI cables for like 3 -4 bucks. Also they go on sale sometimes for like a dollar or two. But not everyone has a frys close by. I used to buy at monoprice but once they got hacked and I had a fraud charge for like 150 bucks but my bank caught it because my card number was used in chicago and newyork at the same time, LOL. Someone tried to donate 650 bucks to a charity and some one tried to use baby clothes for another 150 bucks. Glad that my bank called me the next morning about fraud alert.
