Are these temps good/bad?

This is the first computer I've built, and first time on a Windows machine in 4+ years, so I'm unsure how good/bad these temperatures are. I'm running an Intel i5-2500K with a Cooler Master 212+ cpu cooler (single fan). The max temps were reached while running at 100% load for about 10 minutes.

I'd appreciate if someone could help me out in determining the right temperatures to aim for.

Anything in the 70s while running Prime or IntelBurnTest/Linx is fine. I'd start getting concerned if it slipped into the 80s - but even that isn't terrible considering that Prime/IBT temps are normally about 10C above "normal" load temps. What you've got there is perfectly fine.

Stock speeds/voltages? Looks good. I agree with the 70c as a max folks.....not to say I haven't pushed my 2600k to 85 benching.....ambient temperature always plays an huge factor.....obviously.

Even if 100c is "ok" .... i makes you feel kinda ikky as an overclocker IMO. :)

Those temps look fine to me... now you just need to o.c. your cpu... you should be able to 43x/44x/45x+ on your 2500K without too much trouble.
