jamestown is HARD. im playing it single player right now and there is almost no way to beat a level on "difficult" without using at least one credit. it really seems like its meant to be multiplayer. theres online multi right? i just moved into a new place so im in ofline mode right now. terreria is great but im trying real hard not to get sucked into that right now, and bastion is great too. need to finish it soon.

Ha I think you just have to be really quick, memorize enemy shot patterns, and use the shield with a lot of strategy. I've seen some people do insane crap on older more strict top down shooters. Also playing with a gamepad helps if you're just using mouse or keyboard.

Try using the Gunner ship with the secondary laser in the default position (forward) -- almost as much DPS as Beam's special attack but without the movement speed penalty. It is a tough game overall though, I still haven't quite managed to beat the final boss yet (usually use up too many credits getting through the maze).

That's if you can get it to run. I have had tons of issues getting it to run on current generation hardware. I have multiple systems, including a racing sim I wanted to play it on, but I could never get it to run right... Frequent crashes, lag, etc. Boo.

Im not 100% sure but I think it is local co-op only not online.

yeah the hit box is really small which is nice but it seems like i cant move diagonally a lot of the time (might be when firing the special only, not sure) which really bugged me a lot.

how do you unlock other ships? and are you supposed to complete the levels without using any credits, or is it expected that you use some? i just assumed that youre not supposed to use a continuation but i didnt really notice any penalty for doing it. whats the limit to how many credits you can use? is it in the whole game or is it per stage?

i dont have any friends. nah jk but i installed it on my weak laptop so no mouse or controller. maybe i can take my xbox usb receiver out of my gaming rig and plug it into the tv and play keyboard/controller with my roommate.
