The lawsuit that began with 25k defendants and shrank down to 2300, was denied an extension and effectively killed this week by the order of a judge. The lawsuit was a result of downloading the movie The Hurt Locker back in 2008. The lawsuit began to unravel due to the problems associated with locating and identifying all of the defendants in a timely manner.

Back in October, around 20,000 defendants were dismissed from the case when Voltage Pictures was having trouble tracking them down.

That should be the way it is all around. Too many people waste the time of the courts, wasting taxpayer money.

We should sue them for putting out crappy movies. Hurt locker, far cry. etc. terrible terrible movie.

Hurt Locker a bad movie? Thats news to me. I found it to be one of the better films concerning our current conflicts.

Best film about our "current conflicts" doesn't mean it's still a good movie.

Just like they charge us court fees when we try to contest a traffic ticket and lose.

OR WIN in some cases!

Had a buddy in Chicago who contested a ticket and got it thrown out, the court fees ended up costing just as much as the ticket!
