I got the 60" sharp LED LCD last Christmas. As of Sep. of this yr., this is totally dead, they didn't even bother send a technician over, they ask me how the lights are blinking and send me a brand new replacement.

The new model 803U, is supposedly a newer model. This time (a brand new unit) lasted 3 mth., the on/off button, menu button etc. totally malfunction. The new 1 doesn't have 1 yr. warranty, just what's left of my old warranty. So After this repair, if it fails again, then I'll need to pay for it.

Is there any1 out there who have the same experience in the Sharp LED LCD TV series?

What would you do?

That's disheartening to hear. My Aquos LCD from 4 years ago is still going strong, I'll have to look around before getting a replacement next year. I was just going to get another Sharp because this one is working so well.

The truth is, I slept 3 to 4 hr. for a few days just prior to Christmas 2010 just to read feedback review at AVSforum on various brand names. I read a 67 pages review on this sharp.

I had some really ugly service by Samsung, so samsung is out--they gave me 5 dead 30" LCD in 2 yr., in the end, total refund by the president of samsung

That leaves Sony and Sharp. I never have good service from Sony and their quality is below average. My Sony Trinitron failed after 5 yr., within that 4th yr., I paid $800 repair on it.

So what would you do? I never own a Sharp before, and the AVS review shows their service is good. In the end, I decided to go w/ Sharp, and now, turns out their quality is just as bad as Samsung

Do you have frequent earthquakes or something? I have never had a TV go bad, ever. How do you go through so many?

All these screen is connected to 2 different Smart UPS by APC. I take very good care of my equipment. in the case of Samsung, I own 2 x 30" the replacement screens that they sent me are Defective to begin with.

In the case of sharp, I only watch 4 hr. of TV per day. It's just very poor quality brand name
