EDIT: OK, so not "one" click, but it's automated once you download the package, and it will NOT increase your ODIN flash count NOR will it give you the yellow "I've been rooted!" triangle on the splash screen.
This is just to root.
Remember, if you will actually go ahead and install a custom ROM, you will need to ODIN a kernel like ClockWorkMod or Rogue/CWM, before you can flash any rom.
If all you wanted is to remove/disable CarrierIQ, you can use the autoboot to root and then disable CIQ, and not mess with ODIN/CWM, if you want to stay stock.
You don't need to ODIN anything with this method. The repacked kernels are able to be pushed/flashed via this same method (and I think a couple are actually included in the download)... thus never increasing your ODIN flash count.
This is how I rooted and installed CWM.
I ran the root procedure mETRo suggested and it worked perfectly.
Now, I gotta find some good ROMs to try. MIUI is at the top of my list. Any other suggestions?
Should I get rid of this CIQ thing? I saw that option in the root menu.
Thanks for dashing my hopes! MIUI and CM are two of my favorite ROMs... or were. What is it about them that they don't play well with our phones?MIUI does not, and probably will not ever properly support our device. Same goes for Cyanogen.
I use Calks, but it might be giving me GPS issues. I need to do further testing.

I did.For the sake of curiosity, who is rooting purely to eliminate carrier IQ?
Okay, now that we've got our E4GT devices all rooted and running Unnamed, onto another question. Why the hell does it take so long to charge these things? I plugged mine in at 69% and 3.5 hours later it's only at 75%. I did some googling and this seems to be a common complaint. Any solutions?

Any of you having the LOS "loss of signal" problem? It's happened at least twice each day I've had my E4GT. Every time, I have to pull the battery to re-establish the signal. Apparently, the EG30, EK02, EL13, etc. updates were supposed to fix the error, but none have worked. I looked up this issue over at Sprint.com. According to the comments left by other E4GT users, there is no fix and Sprint/Samsung have no intention of doing anything else about it.
Between LOS and my slow charging problem, I'm losing patience with this phone.
