Lian-Li PC-100 - Radical change in chassis construction

After watching the video from Tweak Town, I have concerns that a NH-D14 would work in that unit.
The PC-90 (normal motherboard layout) that they showed in that video had no cable management whatsoever. Granted it was a prototype case at the time, you'd think the would've went to the trouble of organizing the cables & not leave them lying on the bottom of the case.

Meh. Interesting design but I'd have to get extension cables for the 5 USB devices I have plugged into the back of my motherboard. And if I get more USB devices I'd have to open the case to get them plugged in permanently. LOL.

Gonna be a damn tough sell if this thing is in the $150+ range (I'm expecting it to be well over $200 since it's a from-scratch design). The chassis definitely has some interesting possibilities. Case could be a lil' top-heavy depending on hdd/odd/psu combos. I do like that vid card length will never be a problem, but wonder why they didn't make similar allowances for CPU coolers (165mm?).

Also puzzling is why Lian Li used the 2x 140mm fans at the rear as exhausts and the 120mm up front as the intake. The 120mm is great for blasting fresh air at the CPU region, but it's also going to be sitting right above the exhaust for most slot-design gpu coolers. Maybe there are optional roof/floor fan mounts to give flexibility on airflow layouts, but still. Thermals will prolly vary widely.

All those questionable decisions aside, I can still imagine some pretty sweet rigs that would work well with this case. Those 140mms out back could be great for an internal rad and the compact nature of the hdd mounts removes a lot of the airflow obstructions from more traditional cases.

Seems like it would work better having all the fans flowing back to front, sans PSU. Seems like the GPUs would be starved for air, and the CPU would just be pulling in warm air from the GPU. Going back to front would seem to make more sense, as the PSU would get fresh intake air and spit it out the back and up, while everything else would pull in one direction.

I suppose they anticipated those who buy this case to have aftermarket GPU coolers. I wouldn't mind trying it out.

Wait what?

I commend Lian Li on their efforts. They are trying to put out something different. However, I don't get a couple of things.

If my gfx cards are exhausting air from the front will that hot air get sucked up by the 120mm fan and blown onto the CPU?

Where are all the ugly cords supposed to go? hang out of the little latch on the front of the case? If they are supposed to be routed trough the case and out the back... That seems like even a greater pain in the but than the current design concepts.

On the bright side at least they are going away from having 10x 5.25" bays. I am not sure if I know anyone that uses more than two. dvd/cd drives.

At least the company is trying. Though by the looks of it they could benefit more from a couple of hours of reading through some of the threads on this forum than putting out some of their wacky ideas to market.

The misspellings on the page are quite comical.

Hey Lian Li, how about you fix the V600F and release it as the V600FN and we'll talk. As for the PC-100, why not just buy the PC-90? Literally the same cooling capacity/airflow pattern with a less convoluted design.
