Humble Bundle 4!! Best bunder EVER!!!

They give you a second GSB multiplayer code, totally different from the one you get on Steam. So I guess that means you can download the install files to a disc and give them to a friend with the second key. Merry xmas!?!

I noticed that linux and mac users are paying a greater average. hrmmm... that might be because a lot of windows users have steam and... already own most of these. :)

It's because the 14-year-olds who make up the bulk of the purchasers don't mess much with Linux or Macs. Painful but true.

Strange the number of purchases are increasing so drastically. Based on how many have been sold they've captured at least half a million dollars already.

Didn't notice at first that there are steam keys. Amazing.
The vast majority of indie bundle titles are able to provide Steam keys. If the game is or will be on Steam, they give you the keys. There have been some games still in alpha/beta or games rejected from Steam -- those are the exceptions.

Could always see that number next to "Total Payments" as of this moment its at $862,622

;)

I bit, only one I had heard about was Meatboy but the enthusiasm suggests there's several gems in there... Was gonna cheap out and pay $6 but ended up doing $10.

Wow, in just a day time, they almost accumulated 1 million dollars

Probably the biggest and highest quality indie bundle I've seen so far, so it's not all that surprising.

Personally though, I always skew my contribution to almost 100% to the devs themselves, 0% to charity, and maybe a little bit to Humble Tip for upkeep of the website (I use Steam for the downloads, so it's Valve's bandwidth I'm really using).

I think I'll pick up a three pack and gift a couple of them. Good deals on games you can play on a low powered machine.

Love this bundle, for sure. Anyone else having issues getting their key for Shank?

I bough it and I already own Super Meat Boy on X360 and purchased the soundtrack from DB.

Even own Bit Trip Runner from WiiWare and I did finish the main story. Getting 100% on the regular levels, (let alone the "pitfall" levels) is impossible.

I have to agree, this is a great bundle. I bought it just for Cave Story+ and the Jamestown soundtrack as I already had everything else. Given that I already own all but one game, I gave mostly to charity.

Aside from Gratuitous Space Battles (which I genuinely enjoy form a strategy perspective and fully understand it's not for everybody) these games really lend themselves to a controller/gamepad of some kind (take your pick, there are many, after all you are playing on the Master Console, the Uberconsole, the One True Console to Rule them all: the PC).

For my game play style, beat.trip runner is the weak link here. Unlike super meat boy, I quickly lose the desire to keep trying a given level if it's giving me a hard time, I think it has something to do with the pacing and length of levels and the auditory cues don't seem as tight as with beat.trip (the pong-like one).

If anyone is having trouble launching Cave Story+ and it just hangs up on a black screen then turn off "Triple Buffering" in your graphics card control panel. Just remember to turn it back on if you use vsync in your other games.

That's what's so great about this, though. I usually do the opposite, giving the lion's share to the EFF and tips to the devs and the Humble team.

You should be able to disable it just for that one game (with nVidia, anyway...I assume AMD has something similar in terms of game profiles).

Threw in a little more than average even though I own everything but Cave Story+, I thought I was going to just skip this bundle but oh well. My incessant OCD quirk to get DRM free versions of the games I already bought seems to have taken hold of me. :D

Looks like no more EFF, you gave to the Red Cross and Child's Play. :)

Haven't actually picked this one up yet. If EFF isn't on the list anymore, that's too bad. I wonder if there's some particular reason why. Either way, Red Cross and Child's Play are cool by me.

In for 19.95, I have meatboy, most fun I've had with a platformer in years, but I wanna try out the cave game.

Have any of you encountered a "Product Already Activated" message when trying to use the first key on Steam? I did last night. Chatted with a HB tech and he said it was a Steam problem (which is reasonable). The second key activated without problems.

They just added soundtracks to all the games. I heard SMB's soundtrack was really nice, so that's a plus.

Those USB SEGA Saturn pads that got popular when SF4 came out are pretty solid, mine is still in one piece anyway.

I would just get a 360 controller for PC unless you have some particular hatred for them. They're supported by just about everything natively in Windows now, this game included.

Not a big fan of the layout for playing old console games on emulators (or Steer Fighter 4)... But yeah, they work fine for most modern titles.

D-pad on the original Xbox controllers sucks, but I'm starting to get use to using the analog for games (have 2, but now Xbox 360, a wireless with dongle and a wired). Don't like the grey special D-pad edition because of the grey keys (got use to the colors, not letters), but the MW3/Gears of War 3 controllers are great.

I know it is a longshot but if someone doesn't want cavestory let me know. Cavestory was the only one I was interested in, but seems like a waste since I have no interest in all the other stuff

Because some of the developers probably like SOPA which EFF is fighting. Shutting down a website with probably just an hour or two of a lawyer's time is probably even more appealing to Indie developers than the big houses.

Dude, seriously you don't even have to donate $6.

I just picked up a PS3 controller.

I doubt it. There's an explanation for why they decided to go with Red Cross this time in their FAQ. SOPA is bad for everyone, especially independent developers/artists of digital products, but that's not really here or there.

Your logic why indie developers wouldn't like SOPA is just so convincing.
