It's probably like the movies, first time awesome, second time okay I guess, third time it's not worth the headache.

3D technology not only gives me headaches, but also usually reduces the amount of "immersion" I get from the game (or movie). In most situations, games and movies, 3D is just poorly done and added more as a gimmick and "Oooo!" factor than anything. But when I have a hard time coping with horrible 3D after-effects, I tend to keep them off just so I can better immerse myself with what I'm playing or watching (and save myself the headache).

Long time before the technology reaches a level I could live with. No special glasses and watching without my eyes watering after 30min is where it would have to be for me.

I have a S23A750D and have tested several games with HD3D or DDD. Personally I find 3D could be a great immersive effect, but currently it is a buggy, laggy and uncomfortable experience. When glassless 3D comes available and games start supporting it natively without huge bugs and slowdowns it is certainly something I'd like to use, but in its current state it is nothing more but a half done gimmick.

This is actually what I hate about the state of PC industry in general. Too much half done crap that's marketed as finished. I shudder at the thought that Apple seems to be the only company that understands the value of a polished user experience. AMD really needs to put some more effort on making stuff actually work, and not just in theory. Open standards are nice, but in general it seems to equate pitiful ux and support mostly by community hacks.

I sure do!

Playing FPS games in 3D feels so fresh and next generation. It is just a huge jump. I love it.

I don't care about 3D gaming...but I am recently into 3D movies at home after buying a 55" Panasonic VT30 3D plasma...I hated 3D movies when I saw it in theaters but watching it at home totally changed my opinion...much, much better for some reason (still prefer 2D but 3D is a pretty cool extra feature)

looks like ass

I doubt you've seen Batman Arkham City in S3D. Really, If you've only seen one game or movie in 3D you really can't make a reasonable judgment because the quality and implantation of 3D varies BROADLY.

played 2 3D games on my friends new 47" LG 3D LED TV. Killzone 3 and GT5 on PS3. The quality was outstanding, and the menus looked like a "heads up" display. Really enjoyed playing the game(s) and wouldn't mind getting a 3D TV myself..

As far as playing 3D games on PC, when monitors drop in price, its definitely something id look into...if the budget allows.

3d gaming is good but you really need to dig in your wallet for it. I'd prefer the normal way...

Depends on how you look at it. It all depends on the number and size of monitors and the performance level you want. In comparison to going with 30" monitors 3D is cheaper even when you count the glasses.
