Need a new card(s) I am currently running Dual Gforce 9500gt from EVGA. They are no longer capable of what I would like to do. I'm looking to being able to run Batman: AC and maybe even Skyrim, if not at max settings then at least pretty high on a 1920x1080 resolution. I've got a decent budget but I would prefer to keep the price down if possible.

Not sure what the difference is as the spec is identical, but there is another EVGA classified 560 448 core, going for $289.

yet again no one has even asked what the rest of the OP's pc looks like like.

OP, please list ALL of your specs in detail.

I am at work currently so these are the stats off the top of my head if that helps. I'll update them properly when I get home later.

2.83 ghz Quad core Processor
8gb RAM
Windows 7 64bit

that looks pretty good but I would oc that cpu a little bit if you have an aftermarket cooler. like the others here, I would also suggest the EVGA gtx560 ti 448sp classified. with its higher clocks, its the same performance as the gtx570 so the $290 price tag is not too bad.

There's also the galaxy gtx570 right now for $289 after rebate. That's the one I went with as I figure it'll be easier for me to find a second gtx570 to sli in a year or two then the limited run 560ti448.

I have that gtx570 too. a year from now the last thing I would do is another one for sli. I would much rather just sale it and get a faster single card at that time then to add another 220 watts to my system. plus 1.25gb would limit a gtx570 sli setup in some games now never mind a year from now.

I have a GTX 570, it runs Skyrim at Ultra detail no problem, and BF3 at ultra at around 48 FPS on average. Skyrim is completely dependent on your CPU however, I run it with an i5 2500k at stock, but the GTX 570 superclocked version is great.

Like I said I was at work when I posted those specs off the top of my head. Heres the full version.

I have a Q9550 on my second rig and I was able to overclock it to 3.8GHz with a Xigmatek SD1283 aftermarket cooler I bought used for $20 here on [H]. You should probably do the same if you want to run Skyrim as best as you could since its been said its CPU dependent.

I would also recommend a GTX 570 if not a GTX 580 depending on the power supply you are using which you neglected to note.

Wait for the new 7xxx series card's to come out soon. But yes , buy something cheap till then. cheap 560ti or 6850?

I would recommend reading the articles [H] did on both the games you listed, look particularly at the resolutions you mention and the performance of various GPU combinations.

Both games seem pretty demanding, especially if you use DX11 in the Batman game.

Give those a good read and then choose......keep in mind that AMDdoes have some new cards coming soon, but their highest end probably won't be around until Spring, same with most everything new from nvidia.:D

If you have a budget of $1000, and you want the best performance for those games that comes close to many SLI configurations, you could even go up to a single GTX580.
