I would recommend waiting for the email telling you to play. If you left the launcher open you will probably looking at a greyed out play button for days.

your better off just restarting the launcher every min or so, emails arnt reliable and you dont actually NEED an email to play. you can tech skip reading the email and still play.

just restart the launcher till it lets you play

Which is gay...I ordered on 7/21 but f'ing gamestop didn't send codes until 7/22.... :(
 
I was able to login at 4:10 PST. No e-mail. Pre-ordered within the first hour of availability.
 
Got my early access email at 7:25am sadly there's no way I can play today. Too much shit to do between work and then getting home late etc.
 
I tried logging in at 7:10 before I left for work (ordered when pre-orders opened) but didn't have access yet. Hoping they let me in before I'm done at 4:00, will be a sad day otherwise.

Yep, same here. I'll be fucking pissed if only the 7/21 entries get in today. Yeah, it's only one day, but still... They should have had a system where the pre-order code contained the order date somehow so it didn't matter when you redeemed it.

Fuck you Gamestop. Fuck you.

edit: Supposedly there will be multiple waves through the day so it's still possible for other people to get in today.

on www.oldrepublic.net one of the devs said everyone would get 5 days early access.

So people are thinking all emails will be sent out between now and the 15th. How true is this? not sure, just going off what the comments some people made.

I've had worse from them than sending the code late. For AoC when I pre-ordered it I had to call them myself later on and ask about the code to play early, and the guy told me "the only card we have is a code for a mammoth" so I was left to assume they didn't get any early access codes. When I picked up the game and my mammoth code, if you actually read it the code was for the mammoth and early access.

Some people might have luck with them, but in my experience if you pre-order from them you're lucky to get anything at all unless you really pressure them into it.

(Just as a note, not trying to anger you or anything - I hope you guys get in because that's a ripoff - I'm still waiting too)

No, this is not true.

Up to five days, which was changed to 7. They made it a point to mention that there will be no guarentees of getting the full amount, or even half of that.

Regardless, I didn't get in apparently, which was expected. Hopefully mine arrives tomorrow.
 
My early access email came this morning about 7:40am EST. I had pre-ordered way back in July. I still haven't received a notice for a second copy I pre-ordered in September. Now the work day just needs to end a little quicker.
 
Don't discount it yet entirely, Splinter. After the first wave went out this morning they posted and said they'd be doing more waves (which was expected, they'll be letting day 1 people in in waves to prevent server overload). It's still a possibility.

On that www.oldrepublic.net site, one of the guys posts says he read a lot of twitter posts from people who pre-ordered in sept/oct that are saying they got in already. Personally I think they're trolling, otherwise BioWare lied to us all! Oh no!

Just got my invite at about 8:50 (the email). I'm at work for another 7 hours now... what a long day this'll be. The last 2 minutes already took an hour or so.

No kidding, I'm been here 15 mins, and it sucks. I'm gona have to work my ass off, to stop thinking about the game.

That's what I was thinking, except I work for the government so "work my ass off" doesn't exactly work here. It's mostly just lounging with a few keyboard taps now and then. Otherwise, I'll end up out of work for the entire week and just make my situation that much worse :(
 
Got mine, pre ordered day one and I am at work installing it on one of my computers here :)

I won't be playing much I'm sure a prof somewhere will need help and interrupt me right when it is ready to go.

Haha, I know exactly what you mean, I work for the government too, State government.

Some of my work this morning is going to take me to the local jail, I have to interview some dumb ass in there. Hopefully that will keep me busy for a few hours at least.
