Guys,

Newegg has the Samsung 59" 1080p 600Hz Plasma HDTV PN59D6500DF for $999.00 with free shipping and no tax for most. Must add to cart for final price.

Cheapest price anywhere is around 1450.

I just got off Amazon.com to try and get a price match and they confirmed it was a pricing error on Newegg.com. Get it while it's hot I just ordered one!
[Edit] Got off the phone with Amazon.com it seems they will price match BUT will not give you the white glove delivery for free. It's an additional 160 bucks.

but how the hell does Amazon know that this is an error on Newegg?
 
$999 for a highly rated 60" plasma ?

This one is a no brainer for those in the market for something similar.

May have been an excuse to not pricematch Newegg's price.
 
Too good to pass up. "That department was closed" to get a price match on Amazon so I went ahead and ordered it from Newegg. If the deal is still valid in the morning I'll switch my order over to Amazon.
 
Why are all the price mistakes lately for huge 59-60" Plasmas, why can't they just misprice one of the 46" LED LCD's instead.

Thats from settings that can easily be dissabled, and should be anyway.



Just bought a 59in D550 from Del yesterday, called them and got them to give me a better then Amazon price of $1285 which included two sets of the nice $125 3D glasses. The D550 can also unlock the settings of the D7000.

Hell no it's not! Maybe, if your only experience is with old plasmas or only Samsung models. Too bad this deal is dead. I wonder if anyone was able to get one from Newegg or price matched from Amazon.
 
**Update**
Just got my shipping info today from Newegg and AIT. It will be here on Dec. 14. So it seems that if you got in early you should be fine with no cancellations.

and to the other poster, why would you want a garbage edge-lit led LCD?

I'm all about plasma too. Own a c8000. But I wouldn't call all edge-lit led LCD's garbage. The samsung d7000 & d8000 October+ manufactured LEDs are pretty good. Though I still prefer a plasma over those.

My parents have the un60d8000. Not too impressed with it The hx929 prob gives a better picture since it has full-array led backlighting.

When did they get it? H303 manufacturing are the only good ones. Pre-Fall 2011 d7000 & d8000 LEDs were pretty much junk. hx929 is definitely better in terms of PQ but it is more expensive and I prefer Samsung's up-scaling abilities.

They got it in July. If that's the case, would be possible to get it replaced?
 
Possibly. I would try calling samsung and complain about uniformity issues. (look for uneven lighting of the screen; bright spots or streaks)
 
This could of replaced my Current 52" Samsung Touch Of Color LCD.... Which i fucking love to death. Bought the matching Glass TV stand to go with it.
