Amd-A Dual core? Laptops

Curious as to whether or not that is a dual core processor. It's between that or

And I don't see a reason as to the price hike unless it is a dual core.

Going to be used for word processing, internet, youtube, fbook, and skype.

From the discription could be a dual core, it's enough for the basic work operation....

Well, the AMD A8 APU are quad cores... (in the HP).

Web site description says it is a A8 which is a quad core.

The gpu is much better than anything intel.

And the A8 overclocks & more importantly for laptops, underclocks very, very well.

I got my brothers to 2.2 GHz on his Asus A6 laptop. Not a bad chip considering it was $450 for 6550 discrete with it.
