Underwhelming Newegg black friday?

I jumped on that shell shocker for the class 6 16gb micro that was a couple days ago, perfect for my purposes.

Looks like they sent out an e-mail with the so-called door-buster deals now, some slightly better discounts in here tho nothing that appealed to me at the moment, some highlights below...

http://promotions.newegg.com/neemai...EFL112511-_-EMC-112511-Index-_-E0-_-PromoWord

Samsung WEP490 BT headset for $1 after MIR

Toshiba Thrive 8GB for $200 (not the best Android tablet but for $200 it ain't bad either imo)

MEElectronics HT-21 and M9P for $15 and $10 respectively (about 1/2 what I paid for either)

G.Skill Sniper 2x4GB DDR3 1600 for $30

Corsair TX650 for $55 after MIR is pretty good I think

G.Skill Ripjaw Z 4x4GB DDR3 1600 for $65 (man, I paid close to that for 2x4GB)

Corsair Flash Voyager GT 32GB USB 3.0 for $30 after MIR

There's a 60GB Agility 3 for $65 after MIR but other than that I didn't see any good SSD deals, heck I think there was like only one other SSD in the whole e-blast, so at 'least I'm not regretting buying that 120GB Samsung 830 on Monday for $210 (w/Batman AC, tho that part was certainly a bust until it's patched!).

Tempted to pick up that flash drive or some memory but I really don't need either, got 8GB atm and until USB 3.0 is more ubiquitous the drive's sorta pointless.

Cool, how much was that?

There has been several outlet/deal sites selling 32GB Sandisk Class 4 microSD cards for $35 thru the past two months... I got one, it pretty much benches exactly like a Class 6 should (vast majority of these things are underrated) and it has equal or better random writes than any of my other smaller cards. I think Ben's Outlet is one of the places that currently still has 'em at that price. I actually got mine thru the Newegg marketplace from 1daysale.

Hm, I might pick up Windows 7 since I'm still using a non-legit copy  That 23" Asus display might make a nice upgrade from this old 19" screen as well...

Are these deals live or what? How come the counter says there is still 24 hours? I dont get it.

Yeah I think someone goofed there and set it up wrong... Says they go up at 12AM PT tho, isn't that in like half an hour something? US DST confuses me... Edit: Ok, I think the minutes/seconds are right and they just goofed on the hours counter which is running up to 24 rather than down to 0? The minutes are counting down which makes it look very odd but you get the gist...

Yeah I saw on SD that a Class 4 32 GB was selling for mid-$30, $35 sounds right, but the Class 4 scared me since I have a Class 6 8 GB micro SDHC card and I didn't want to sacrifice speed for storage space. But if it indeed performs like Class 6, then I guess I should get it.

Yeah, I wouldn't sweat it. Here's 4 or 5 of my cards between 8GB & 32GB from Sandisk, Patriot, Transcend, and Adata; pretty much every one of 'em was underrated to one degree or another:

Why rip on newegg for? They give us great deals throughout the year.

Leave newegg alone!

The corsair 650watt TX v2 psu is pretty hot for $55AR. I paid $66AR for this about 2 months ago and that was with a $10 off code. That is about the cheapest price youll ever get that psu for.

So these deals don't start for another 24 hours?! I'm trying to jump on that Corsair H100 CPU cooler.

Nevermind, they are up and running. H100 for 69.99, yes please thanks.

Anybody else experience newegg is running slow or sometimes pages not loading? Trying to get 8 gb for $30 :(

Yeah it has been for the last half of the day I think. I was having load time issues when placing an order for a video card like 2 hours ago.

Wow. Just checked the email 10 mins ago and the deals are totally meh.

Three minutes, and the Toshiba was already OOS. Nice.

They took one from my cart while checking out (not even a minute process) but I goofed reading some disclaimer at the end about newegg not providing support for certain computers and the next page was it was taken out because of low stock.
At least I tried... and I don't really need it.
Good night.

Hah, I was thinking about getting one for my mom even tho it's inferior to my TF, guess I thought about it too long. :p Oh well, I'll get her a TF when someone else runs another tablet promo and the TF Prime drives down the price of the old one.

Picked up two sets of the 2x4GB Ripjaws X 1600 for $29.99 each. That's as good of a price on 1.5V DDR3 1600 as I've seen.

Amazing how price drops. Less than 18 months ago, 2x2GB was what, like $100, and 2x4GB was close to $200. Last black friday, I bought 2x4gb for $90 which was a killer deal, and in january I bought 2x4gb for $70, which was even better. Amazing how the price is falling. I was eyeing sets for awhile to maybe upgrade to 1600 or 1866 (was running 16gb of 1333 in my main box, but gave half to my HTPC). Now I'll have 16gb of 1600 in the main rig, and 16gb of 1333 in the HTPC. Wonder if I can get it to load a 1080p movie completely into RAM.

Yeah, RAM's getting impossibly cheap... Looking at what I paid for my first sticks of DDR back in '02 during one of the big RAM price hikes (after an earthquake IIRC) almost makes me weep now, Newegg should allow me to delete unsightly orders from my purchase history. :p I thought about adding 8GB more and going to 16GB but I really have no need to...

If anyone planning on purchasing anything:

- Create a temp e-mail acount
- Create a new NewEgg account
- Use Promo Code "newcustomer10" (orders $50 and over)

Will help with additional savings assuming your not using any other promo codes that is. I was holding out to place a order since last nite to see if there was any deals on things I needed and sadly there wasn't... :(

does that 19.99 32gb corsair 2.0 flash drive read as 19.99 on the front site and then bump to 34.99 in the cart for anyone else? only really attractive thing for me >_<

Went for the PCI express X-fi fatal1ty titantium champion for $99.99+tax. Figured it was worth the $15 more than the normal titanium for the i/o bay. Pretty happy with the deal, that's a half price markdown from $199; cheapest on amazon was $140.

I think some of the Corsair flash drives had MIRs.

Yeah I guess name brand micro SDHC card manufacturers like you mentioned will probably more likely understate their speed than a no-name brand. My current card is by Transcend (8 GB, Class 6), but I never speed tested it.
