I wholeheartedly agree that overall the game is pretty amazing. Doesn't mean they can't make it better though. If my death was "suspicious", like I was killed in nice cover in a bunch of shrubs/trees or something, I always look at the kill window to see what attachments the other person has. A LOT of the time it is IRNV "all seeing eye".
Last night I played a 64-player game in Caspian (very bright daylight) map and virtually everyone on the opposing team was using the IRNV. God it was annoying. When they finally nurf that stupid thing it is going to be hilarious seeing how bad all these bad players are without it. My biggest complaint about the IRNV is it brings bad players up to a moderate level that they shouldn't be at. It's more "dumbing" down of gaming, just like making enemies silent so noob's can get knife kills. No more cheese crutch to rely on.
Heh yes. It's hard not to spray bullets when your teammates shines that thing in your face. The game is not bad at all, it's just that I was expecting more.
The tac. light is the best way to be Team Kill in a HC.

Working fine here..
And you've not answered as to how in your opinion the game has "console aiming" whatever that may entail.

the aim is console based, allowing even noobs to basically never miss.
there is no designated skill to aiming, which then is like aiming down a tunnel where the narrow walls basically hit the target in spite if you try move out of the way.
that is console aim.

Anyone else noticing extra-buttery-smooth performance in BF3 running
1) New BF3 patch
2) 11.11a AMD Drivers with 11.11 cap 2
3) Crossfire
4) Hyperthreading on?
I know I am
The implementation of the flashlight is just one of the most idiotic ideas in an FPS to date. I can understand its effect in pitch-black darkness once somebody has been in that area for more than 30 minutes, but the fact that it is equally effective during the day and has more glare than a sun-turning-supernova is just moronic.
How it ever got this far that it ended up in the retail version and is still there now is baffling. Then again, it is the same group that thought it would be a great idea to make snipers unlock scopes in Medal of Honor and make medics unlock health kits and defibrillators in Bad Company 2.
There's also a new command "GameTime.MaxVariableFps" to for people who want put a frame rate cap. Some people are complaining of the game running at high frame rates but not feeling smooth. Capping the frame rate to your refresh rate should fix that without the issues related to having vsync on.
I posted a simple BF3 signature once. Every single time my stats came into this topic, they were brought up by other people like yourself first, so don't give me that crap. I dare you to go back and view the post history of this thread. Ignorance must be bliss eh?
Oh and: http://battlelog.battlefield.com/bf3/soldier/Laffles/stats/346538012/ = LOL for good measure.
Sorry, that was probably me. I now instinctively shoot the center of any bright light i see.

One last note, DICE are a bunch of morons. One of them must seriously like attack helicopters to buff something that was already very powerful. It takes two direct tank rounds to disable a freaking helicopter? The same helicopter that can kill a tank in like 2 seconds. This plus MANPAD nurf is just ridiculous. Every server I go to there is some dude in a WTF near invulnerable own-mobile flying around that thinks he's good.

On another note, made the mistake of joining a softcore server. Takes like 48,000 bullets to kill someone at range it was so funny. Not to mention icons were permanently over enemies heads, not sure how people play like that. Removes a lot of strategy..

I played every bf game since 1942 and I cant get myself anymore to play this due to the EA appeal to noobs.
exactly, you see a light, white or red ( laser) , you spray. you see the shine of a scope you take it down too... team mate just don't have to put light on our face, lol
See this is the thing, I don't care about sats, I play to have fun, not for stats, I'm happy my KD/R is 1.79, that's fine for me, but I play this game to have fun when I can. (Serious lol @ you searching for me)
I have real life priority's like a life/girlfriend, something that I'm sure you don't have to deal with, I don't have time to play BF3 all day
all you do is swan on about how great you are in here, and it's cringeworthy. I want to read about the game but you're always calling someone a n00b or explaining how great you are, You're tragic.
As somebody who used to play CS and UT competitively, what the shit are you talking about? The aiming is fine.
I get more and more " Can't connect to a EA server " or something like that , since the patch
I get that like 1/3rd of the time I try and connect now. The patch fixed some issues yet created more.
for anyone looking to upgrade their PC for BF3 and are not sure how CPU performance impacts multiplayer i have done a short basic benchmark of my own system with 2 vs 4 cores.

How long will I have to wait to purchase this game if I want to play bug free? A few months?
thank you! That is a good comparison though not really fair one. The better one would be to compare2 and 4 cores without changing the CPU speed.
Really upset over the 4 person minmum to start a round. I dont mean to start scoring points, I mean to actually even be able to move. That and the command center keeps disconnecitng every two seconds.

There are servers that lower or eliminate that because it'll let people practice flying or driving or whatever. Usually they have "2 player start" or similar in the name of the server.
Yeah, I've just had bad experiences with the BF series in the past. It seems it takes a few patches for the game to really become totally stable and smooth.just go out and buy it, the bugs that exist are not game breaking, overall the game runs and works very well. we have already got 1 major patch just a few days ago, yes this introduced some new small issues but its not like the game crashes every hour or something, i play for hours on end sometimes with zero issues and have nearly 70 hours logged in multiplayer now.

Dunno if this has been answered already, but I'd like to know, if you have an account with BF3 in it and you install and play the multiplayer on one computer, then uninstall and play the MP on another computer in another location far away from the original computer, is that allowed? I know that BC2 let me do that, but I dunno if BF3 does and I just got it(thanks Zuppy!) so I can't install it in time before I head over to a family friend's house for Thanksgiving. Would like to know though!
Edit: Btw, I don't mean using my BF3 key on two accounts, but rather logging onto the same account on two different computers.
