My Eyefinity display, finally completed with a 3 monitor arm purchase. Thanks to this forum thread. :)

Plays Bf3 pretty well, viewing angle on the screens isn't so great so blacks look terrible... but totally workable for my first setup.

If you are running in that configuration, why not just buy a 42" plasma?

guess what guys, i got 3 x 30" monitors now,

i got 1 3007fps and i got 2 x u3011 right now, also i got a u2711 and 5 x p2311 in my office

im gonna use the 3 x 30 for my eyefinity instead of the 5x23 portrait,

any suggestions for monitor stand for 3 x 30 ? i dont mind spending money, i would love to buy a humanscale arm but they dont have 1 that supports 3 monitors and im not crazy to pay 700 per arm, any suggestions on a stand that will support 3 x 30?

i was actually thinking of taking apart the u3011s and remove the bezel and trying to see if ican mount it somehow

my other problem is i have no rig, im gonna build it asap but im screwed cuz i dont think i should buy 2 x 6990 video cards, i think i should wait for the 7990, probably be worth it but shit i dont want to wait lol

anyone got suggestions on a pc setup? i still am PC'less, i havent been in the market watching whats new and improved on cpu's and chipsets, any suggestions?

thanks guys

When I ran 3x30 I ran a duel monitor stand from mono price in portrait

Where are you located as I am no longer running 3 x 30

IMHO, I think the plus of that high of a resolution in that aspect ratio is offset by the negative of the bezels.

I completely disagree, especially since he's probably sitting 2 feet away from his display.

I used to rock the same resolution and the bezels didn't bother me.

just curious, what are you guys using to display different wallpapers on different desktops?
Also, does it allow random selection of an image, per display, on a timer?

I'm using Ultramon - I honestly don't know if it changes wallpapers around as I never use that function, as I'm happy with this:

Why would I want to change my wallpaper??? :D

I recently updated my wife's case, her old INWIN case runs too hot...

I don't use any program, i just set desktop to tile and set an image that spans both desktops, I have a 1920x1200 and a 1280x1024 display so the background is 3200x1200, with the wallpaper for the right monitor set in the top right of the BMP. If you have want you could create multiple images and set the desktop to change as you want. I just leave mines the way it is.

DisplayFusion is one of the best multi monitor apps I have found.

Handles Desktops, Login Screen, Taskbars, Screensavers, etc.

I highly recommend it.

Displayfusion is also what I use. My only problem is I wish there was a program that would correctly change wallpapers between extend and eyefinity. I keep having to switch the display fusion wallpaper from tiled to stretched.

I tried to remove them, but the monitor practically fell apart. Apparently the guts are mounted to the back end plastic piece. i'm drafting up a replacement piece to swap out, but if the milling is going to cost to much, i'm just going to save up to upgrade the monitors. Find something with a smaller bezel and a better viewing angle.

lol, 2 feet is pretty accurate. when i measured out the spacing and bought that arm, i didn't take into account the depth of my desk... so the monitors are pretty much directly over the edge of the desk. The bezels don't bother me too much. I spent a while compensating with the Eyefinity tool.
