ALL ATT Sprint Vzw phones for .01 including Skyrocket!

I just wish you could keep grandfathered data plans by upgrading through amazon wireless.

You can, if it doesn't give you the option just call your carrier after you order and have them change it back.

I might just switch over from AT&T over to sprint, I'm paying too damn much on att. I'd buy two Samsung Galaxy S2's right now but will have to talk with the wife, thanks op.

Just FYI ATT was not helpful at all when I used amazon to upgrade a phone on my family plan last year. I had to spend hours on the phone with ATT tech support talking to "manager" after "manager" to get my $30 unlimited plan back. Even after all that the first bill had me on the wrong plan still. It was horrible and honestly not worth saving $50-$100 for me, but others may value their time less or get luckier with ATT.

Its only available for adding a line to family plan. Doing a individual account or family account extension doesnt net savings.

For a split second I actually considered just switching to ATT and paying 2 phone bills for the next two months. I would miss my unlimited data too much though.

Wow with this and the $100 Amazon gift card for activating mobile hotspot on certain phones this is smoking hottttt! I will be ordering the Rezound or Razer when I get home tonight for sure.

lol, im sure they want to help you keep unlimited data...

They may not "want" to help but they do / have helped on both att and verizon. Family plans may be a bit trickier, but for individual accounts if your data plan or text / minute plan changed immediately contact your carrier and they will switch it back.

Which smart phone / cell phone is better?

The Skyrocket? Or the new RAZR?
I have always liked motorola durability so I am leaning motorola RAZR android, but Samsung is one of the best out right now, so I am wondering... which one is better for normal techy use?

Be aware switching to Sprint, I used to live in Southern Calfornia and service was amazing and speeds were pretty good on 3g and 4g. I recently moved to northern california back with my family and boy I don't even get 100kb on 3g and the guy at best buy told me that this area is overloaded with sprint customers and it seems like they have ignored upgrading their network in the area to handle more traffic. It is pure horrible here. I switched to ATT just because of that but I have two lines on my account and I have to get my dad a phone too.

Verizon recently launched LTE here as well so I am really fricking tempted to go with verizon for my line. I mean I pay nothing for the phone. I have abused the ATT line running speedtests(even at home where I have wifi) and I bearly hit 4gb after streaming TuneIn radio and google music. I only do it when I am driving around. It is really really hard to hit 4gb on mobile phone, I know for a fact if I was to use wifi at home I would never ever hit 4gb on a mobile phone. Unless you wanna root the phone and tether it, that is a different story.

They are basically taking care of your ETF. If you went to verizon and got the rezound you would pay 350+ for the phone and if you are switching you will be paying more etf.

I cant let go of unlimited data though :(

How many times have you hit over 4gb. I have never hit above 3.6gb and that is with Tune in radio running two hours a day from and to work. Streaming music from google and all the good stuff. I don't sit there and watch youtube videos. If I do I am usually at home, but that 3.6gb was last month with no wifi at all. I mean you have to be on your phone messing around 24/7 and tether to go over 4gb.

Ofcourse I am talking about verizon.

I'm actually cellphone-less right now after leaving my job.

My issue with Android phones isn't the OS, it's the size and battery life. Are there any good Android phones coming out with a 3.5" screen and better battery life? The iPhone size is perfect for one handed operations (medium sized hands).

Truthfully, the BlackBerry 9900 (GSM) and 9930 (CDMA) are fantastic phones and are also available with this deal.

I'd be lying if I didn't say I'd almost rather pick up an iPhone for $299 over most of the large android phones for free. Just so everyone knows, I don't own anything Apple (other than some stock). The iPhone is just a fantastic phone with a great OS and an amazing resale value.

To be honest it just depeneds on how much you use your phone. If you live in a good area where you get good service and you moderately use your phone you will get enough battery life througout the day.

4G lte is a battery killer. The reason apple gets a great battery life is because having one device to support and having built in battery and no battery killing 4g. I don't even know if apple will support LTE for a while unless they found a way around to maximize battery life.
Usually android phones will get pretty damn good battery life if you were to disable 4g and use 3g only. Like I said I use my phone 3 hours a day if I go by display time and the battery lasts me all day even on 4g if you go by how much I use the phone.

Yeah, I'd agree with you, but I would say that the 4G radio is probably the #2 killer after the larger screen. Is there was an Android phone out right now with a screen size around 3.5" that will get the Android ICS upgrade? I did have an original Droid for a while that had pretty good battery life, but that was a much smaller screen than the current offerings.

I don't think so, most of the new phones are geared towards higher end. I highly doubt anything will get ICS and would retain the stock look, because it just wont, unless ofcourse you go with galaxy nexus.

No kidding. That's asking to get screwed.

I'm not sure what you all are talking about..? If I select "I have an individual account/I'm part of a family account" under the "Existing Verizon Wireless Customers" section, add the phone to my cart, then select my service options. On the next page where you select your data plan, (the second option for me) is the option to "keep my existing unlimited data plan".

So why do you all think they will drop your unlimited data plan if you upgrade to one of these phones on Amazon?

Nice phones but it seems Ice Cream Sandwich is all the buzz nowadays. Will the Skyrocket be able to get ICS soon? If so I may get that.

No other phone will have ICS until close to spring. Most of them are promising ICS in Q1 2012, but I don't recall any phone manufacturer outside of Apple to accurately project any type of release for anything. If anything, Q1 means no sooner than March 31st :p.

anybody know how these type of deals last? not sure when my contract ends but Im pretty sure its this month or december. I need to switch to Verizon. I hate AT&T

amazon's wireless site getting hit hard, can't even check out and see plans and such

I need to do this with mine, right now I have unlimited data on a family plan.. need to get it switched over to a standalone plan.. but keep my unlimited data

Used the Skyrocket today and I can easily say that the Exynos variants of the SGS2 are noticeably faster/smoother.

Is there anything newer/greater I should be looking at for sprint? We can only get these deals for new lines right?

Wish the Nexus was out ;(

My Droid 2 Global is rocking ICS already. So are a lot of other phones. Unless of-course you just mean official releases from vendors.

I root my phones and I flash what not. I don't know why you assume that everyone does so. What is the ICS build in? Alpha, common now. Not everyone is like you and don't expect everyone to hack their way around a phone to flash ICS.

95% of the users will want official updates and just live with what they have. So while I appreciate your bravery, I doubt anyone else cares about flashing their phone with unofficial ways to get ics.
