LG IPS236V

Fixed the links. There is no difference between them, same with the Asus ML239H. If you want to game the Dell is the best followed by the NEC EA231 which does support 76hz.

Dell vs LG

So the ips236v does not support more then 60hz? Is the ghosting then really that bad? I haven't had a chance to see how it far in fps games.

Cov have you played a fps game with the ips23 and seen bad or really noticeable ghosting?

The ghosting isn't that bad, but im a little picky when it comes to that kind of stuff and i cannot stand any of it.
Ive played just 2 FPS that i play from time to time, one is Unreal Tournament 3 and CS:Source and both showed more ghosting of what im used to from my old TN panel.

where i saw more ghosting or input lag (i dont know whats the difference between those two and if someone could explain it would be great) was in WOW which i play alot, there is noticeable ghosting even when strafing where everything looks abit blurry while doing it.

On the other hand my games looks beautiful and that's sad because im gonna get another monitor with TN panel(for better response time) and its gonna be a downgrade color/image quality wise, at least from my point of view of course.

bye.

Input lag is the delay before the picture is drawn on the monitor, usually caused by scalers and the like.

Cool, i could see the differences between the 2311H and the 226V

they are close according to the tests, the 2311H looks like it's a bit better on the tests
but i can either get the 226V for 140 €, or the 2311H for 215€

There is also the 2312hm that i can't find anywhere in france today.

I think i'll try the 226V

Also, are there any close up shots of the screen using that anti glare coating versus a screen that does not? i see a lot of people complain about anti glare coating. I have never tried monitors side by side, so my opinion would be biased

ok i've got the 226V

problem, it's got a stuck pixel

LG's warranty says IS 13406-2 Class II
Can i still try to get it replaced? it also got bad backlight bleeding.

If i can't do with LG, i can still return the monitor to the place i bought it from, in france we have a 7 day return policy (mandatory for online shops)

Had the monitors for 2 weeks before I returned it.

The first one had a horrible backlight leakage. Horrible. Meaning it had a good portion of lights coming out from ALL SIDES.

The second one's half the screen was yellow. I didn't know what that was about, but this one had no backlight leakage.

Quality control is horrible on this one from what I can tell.

did you subscribe to an extra time on the return policy? in france it's 7 days, how long is it where you live?

Hi, in Germany we have the return policy (basic rule), that everything purchased via the internet, over the phone or at the door can be returned (no questions asked) within 14 days.

I picked this monitor up at Best Buy today to just try out the IPS monitors. I do notice higher quality picture in my games and movies. Though the lower left portion of the screen has a major yellow tint as others seemed to have issues with in this thread. I doubt I will keep it, but I will play it with for a week to see if it is worth buying a higher quality one. Text is a bit annoying as well.

Same thing here in Finland.

Hello everyone. I know this thread is old but I would like to give some feedback on the screen since I still use this monitor.

This is my was my first ips monitor i bought and used at the time and I was impressed at the great colours and the good deep blacks. Besides the bad stand and the backlit bleed that is still in some 2016 monitors present it has been good. The long term problem that I have noticed is that when I look closely at the pixels on the panel there is a few, mostly green, pixels (very small) present. It is almost as of a part of a pixel is stuck in a colour. You do not notice at at normal use but it is still there never the less. And then sometimes when I power the pc on the screen does not want ot wake from standby, then I just switch it off and on again.

What is your experiences been with this monitor?

Ps. Sorry for grammer mistakes, I am not english and I am wrighting this from a mobile. phone
