I need a Corsair SSD because my new computer is missing an SSD. I spent all my money on the 2600k, asus maximus iv extreme, 16 gb dominator gt, 3 6970, water cooling system and 2 1 tb 7200rpm HD. Now I'm poor and destitute and have a 5.9 windows score and I need that golden 7.8 score.
It's not so much myself that needs one but my wife's rig could really use a SSD. When I went from a raid0 setup to SSD it was mind blowing the difference, now everytime I watch her boot her computer it makes me feel a little worse each time. I'd like to get her one but it's a matter of want not need.
Baby needs a new pair of...
hmm,
Baby needs a new SSD!, HDD boot drive right now, i'm living in the dark ages and corsair has excellent support for their products!
I need an SSD in my rig to reduce delays in boot time, app startup time, and improve overall system responsiveness. I do some development and am constantly launching/relaunching apps, rebooting, etc. I bought an SSD for my laptop and it has made a world of difference. I'm hoping an SSD in my main rig will bring up overall system responsiveness to the next level.
I've always known that hard drive performance was the biggest reason why some laptops "feel" sluggish, and putting the SSD in my laptop completely confirmed it. I really hope I can do the same for my desktop.
Where to begin.. I need a SSD from Corsair in my rig because I'm bound to the slow chains of antiquated spindle drives that have the speed of the earth spinning on its axis. A Corsair Force GT would give the OS a quick and much needed pick me up and it would feel much better with all the other fast stuff in my rig.
