You can ordered this for $200 straight from lenovo, however it is the 2gb version.
This amazon price is a better deal because of free shipping, prime available, tax avoidance (I mean...you just don't get charged tax right away, we all pay later), and this should be the price for the 2gb model not the 16gb model.

NOTE this is a good CAPACITIVE TOUCH tablet
JUST REMEMBER this may be a pre-order, however the most recent release date discussed was NOV 7.

I bit. I don't really have a use for a tablet, so at the very least I can give it away as a gift if I don't want it.

Can I hook a bluetooth headset to this, install a sip+vpn client & use it as a sip phone?

I'd be waiting for the 'rumored' Nook tablet on the 17th - an extra 50 gives a dual core processor, more memory, same storage + SD card slot.

According to this website the lenovo tablet comes with "inbuilt" maps. Does it really come with a GPS program + a GPS chip, or just the GPS chip? I figured it was the latter and you would have to purchase a program from the app store that allows maps to be saved to the device.

I watched the video amazon had on there website. The way I saw them using the GPS feature was quite nice, since they stated it to be free. I might just bite on this myself, thanks op.

I wish it was a 7200rpm ssd, but I guess 5400rpm is good enough.

I wonder is spinning the NAND chips reduces error?

/sarcasm

Well current nand is 0 rpm so this is roughly 5400 times faster. Not quite 9000.
