WTF am I doing? Damn impulse buys argh!

Saw that elitekeyboards has in stock a limited supply of tenkeyless Leopolds with MX clears. The white keyboards were already sold out but that's okay I wanted the black one anyway to match my black mouse.

I have only used my MX browns for a few days but they are really light. I was expecting something a little stiffer, and I think I might be more satisfied with the clears. Seeing's how they seem to be in relatively low supply, and otherwise hard to get, I decided to take the plunge and order a 2nd keyboard within the span of like a week haha.

Hopefully I'll be satisfied with one of the two KBs I have, and will be able to sell the other one here or elsewhere.

i have blues and clears, i've found that i can type faster with clears but i felt they were too stiff for gaming and like the feel of blues better for typing even though i go slower

Clears are more weighted and have a bigger bump then the browns. The thing to remember when typing with them is that you don't need to fully depress it all the way down and you can type a lot faster with clears.

ya i saw that on elitekeyboards and i was really tempted to buy one. but i didnt, at least not yet. im debating if i shud get a unicomp buckling spring board or a leopold with clears. i know there kind of different and i already know what blues feel like, but my blackwidow broke out of nowhere. never buying razer again and i only got it becuase it was on sale for 60 dollars at frys

I think you're right, gaming with the clears may be less enjoyable than browns due to the light resistance. I think for intense gaming there is minimal difference between browns and reds, as the tactile bump is pretty subtle. But I think a clear might be better for typing as you don't have to be so "careful" wih your fingers if you are trying to type without bottoming out.

I'm also curious about the "ergo clears" they speak of on geekhack, basically use the white stem with the lighter brown spring. It seems a lot of people who have tried doing that like it a lot.
