What game have you been playing lately?

He has a point. HR got far more adulation than it deserved. It was distinctly average.

I'm going to agree as well. Good game, but not sure why so hyped other than its 'pedigree' or lack thereof tbh. Nothing overally spectacular with the title to make it a goty contender or anything.

At the moment I'm finishing off GTA IV - The Ballad of Gay Tony. I'm having some issues though since the game likes to crash every once and a while when I shoot someone close up near on in a car (which is weird since I had no problem whatsoever with GTA IV and The Lost and the Damned).

Playing because I like the story and I find Luis (the main character) more compelling than Niko or Johnny.

Aliens vs. Predator (3) as a Predator. The story may not be too strong but the gameplay is quite fun.

TF2, thought since the update last week the games been crashing and the item server has been screwed up so I'm giving it a break.
L4D2 and FEAR.

Just bought the new Batman for PS3.

Finished up DE:HR a few weeks ago and have recently been enjoying The Witcher 2. Tried the BF3 beta, but couldn't really get into it.

I'm really jonesin' for some Arkham City action though, I was sad that it was delayed on PC :( Next month should be great though with that and Skyrim.

Escape From Butcher Bay - Really cool game, haven't tried the sequel yet
Mirror's Edge - Very fun and very frustrating at the same time
Titan's Quest - Scratching the Diablo 3/Torchlight 2 itch quite nicely

I have been playing Mechwarrior 4, I just never finished it when I bought it so I have been slowly working on it. I want to know the story more than anything. I have also been playing Homefront, a friend gifted it to me from the last sale. So far it is okay.

Titan Quest. Bought it last week during THQ sales.

I am enjoying it as a hack and slash game. Its somewhat linear so far, moving from one town to another and never needing to go back. My only complain would be the way the game save. Regardless of where you save, you'll always start off at the last "rebirth spot" you activated, and all the enemies are alive each time you load up a game. So whenever you've set off on a side quest, you might want to complete it before stopping, otherwise you'll have to make your way through the dungeon again killing all the bosses that have respawn.

Dwarf Fortress

Building on a sweet waterfall embark zone on a cliff overlooking the confluence of two rivers.

Snag it whenever it goes on sale. I paid $2.50 for it. Watching TobyGames made me really want to play it. But I'm probably the only dork on here that watches Toby, lol.

Knowing it will eventually go on sale is precisely what's preventing me from buying it now. What made me really what to buy the game is TotalBiscuit and Jesse Cox's co-op play-through on YouTube. I've also seen some of Toby's footage of the game... He's a bit crazy isn't he lol?

StarCraftII and DoWII Retribution. Been cycling back and forth between these two. Throw in some BFBC2 for my FPS needs.

I was intending to do my annual Halloween thing and play some of the many "scary" type games I've been neglecting. I started playing Cryostasis, which is pretty cool and creepy. I gotta finish that; it can't be that long...

I was then meaning to play through Dead Space for the 2nd time before playing Dead Space 2. I was then going to end with Amnesia: The Dark Descent.

However, I started playing Fallout 3 for really the first time since I've owned it. I'm now addicted... With the mods I've added, the game is awesome with a difficulty similar to Metro 2033; which I just finished. I'm tempted to install a snowy terrain mod for Fallout 3 to make it seem even more like Metro's nuclear winter-ravaged world.

I have so many games, but such little time to play them!

Mainly been playing Rift, StarCraft II, Fallout NV and Shogun 2. Recently found my old copy of World in Conflict, thinking of reinstalling it and giving the campaign a play though, love that game.

I went back and checked. Cryostasis took me about 8-10 hours to beat. Btw, when you get to that one part. Hide behind the chair. You'll know what Im talking about. It's dumb, but it stumps everybody.

Waiting for BF3 right now I beat the $5 metro 2033 the other day already and now I've been playing BF2: Project Reality Mod.

I still haven't beat Dead island, but I jumped online with randoms last time and my story progressed a huge chunk without paying attention so I don't really care any more, I'll get back to it this winter sometime.

I just finished another play thought of Call of Cthulhu - Dark Corners of the Earth a few days ago. Fucking love the atmosphere of that game.

Currently playing through Space Marine campaign again for the third time on hard, or should I say [H]ard? As well as a lot of multiplayer til four in the morning. lol

Just bought Dawn of War: The Complete Collection and DoW II Gold, So it's going to be Warhammer all winter long! Oh Yeah!

Borderlands with all DLCs: Farming the armory and Craw like mad! I want them Pearls! :p
Fallout: New Vegas with DLCs: Finishing the last couple of quests in Lonesome Road. After that, I'm starting a new character and going to play a little different this time.

FIFA 12 - Awesome game, and has really been keeping me busy until BF3

FO: New Vegas - Still playing through this. The only single player game I am currently playing.

Once BF3 and Skyrim come out, that will be it!

RO2. Love the game, most of the glitches have been patched up. Plus I am beast at it.
Space Marin. Because hacking and slashing has never been so fun.
And Rise of flight and shogun 2 to a lesser degree.

XCOM Ufo Defense is always on my list!
AC 2 - finished Brotherhood last year on xbox, loved it, finished AC1 on PC and now finishing up AC2 before revelations comes out.
Trying to get back into Fallout3 but might just start from scratch and try the mods, just haven't had the time to figure out which mods to pull down and install/unpack.

BF3 is preordered and will fill the FPS fun this winter.

Borderlands. Just reached level 67 with my Siren. First time playing the game. I started playing about 2 months ago.

I'm having a blast with my coworker playing Borderlands.

Dark Souls, The Witcher 2 on Dark (which has proven I'm entirely to good at this game, I'm still just a massacre with feet) and Bastion until Skyrim comes out. I'm still on the fence about BF3 due to the huge amount of issues I had in beta. I'm hopeful they'll be fixed on release so I can pick it up.

Gothic 2 Night of the Raven. This game is tough as nails in the early going. Probably too hard for its own good.

Metro 2033
Morrowind

Assassin's Creed 2 is on my backlog (now that the always on thing is taken off), but I oddly have no rush to get on with it just yet. Having enough fun as is. After that, STALKER should probably hold me off until skyrim.

Just finished Darksiders. Dead Space 2 is next with a bit of Need for Speed Hot Pursuit thrown in.

It will only make you a better gamer.

Maybe. What it seems to do is put a huge restriction on what quests I can do and where in the game world I can explore and what monsters I can approach. At level 6 most enemies are just too difficult to take on. I can't complete a lot of quests because there is no way I can take out these bandits or mercs, unless I kite them over to some NPCs to help me.

I played PB games before so I know it will get easier as I level, but right now it's a bear.

all these crappy console ports with uninspired save systems that don't have quicksave and crappy controls coming out these days, one of the reason graphics aren't getting better, they're all developed for consoles first, since that's where the money is. Yawn. maybe I'll replay new vegas. Crysis 2, dead rising 2, dead island (the best of the bunch), red faction gureilla, etc.. all with the same problem. Irritating.

From now on, I no longer give money towards developers that put no effort into improving the version released for the PC, and no money goes to any game without a quicksave system (for the pc)

Falout 3. Played through the main story and DLC's,working on the last of the available mods now. Then I'll move on to New Vegas.

Fallout New Vegas with NMC pack. Just allied with the Brotherhood of Steel.

+1 for NMC text pack, but each time I've played, I blew the shat out of BHofS hahaahahaha....I also changed the turret parameters to blast the shat out of them as well gagagagagaagaggaa
