rofl.. I just got done changing it via my phone too.

Really don't care about the policy.

Please change the EA ID since your horrible system doesn't accomplish this trivial task and then fire the amateurs that designed it.

What I want to change my ID too I can't (Confirmed by Offspring) since Origin doesn't support certain characters in it's userIDs

Guess I'm stuck with that I got since I can't think of anything else.

I'm at work so I couldn't fully listen to all the tracks however as sucky as soundtrack CD's usually are, this one sounded pretty good.

The best music was totally from the Caspian border long video with the jets and everything. I like the whole industrial/warbeat type thing, it's simple yet effective for getting you psyched up and ready for battle.

Recently, IGN was able to preview the retail version of Battlefield 3. Two multiplayer demonstrations were given by Producers Patrick Bach, and Alex Grondal who show off two new MP maps, Operation Firestorm and Grand Bazaar. We’ve taken some stills from these two videos to capture a few interesting differences from the Beta that will be making it into the retail version of Battlefield 3. The squad leader once again plays a more prominent role. According to Patrick Bach, players can only spawn on the squad leader. This leader also has the options to give orders. Also, both in-game and in-menu, it is now possible to see what specialization each squad member has equipped. This will obviously come in to play more prominently once players begin unlocking the squad specializations.

Squad specializations are now included to the left of each member while the leader is highlighted with a star.
It is now possible to access the options menu while in the loadout screen. We need our options.
Service stars now apply to classes, as they do weapons. In the picture below, you can notice that there is now a service star number next to the class, as well as the weapon.
There still doesn’t seem to be any options to change your kit while watching the kill-cam. It looks like we still need to wait through it in order to access our loadouts or change options. Still no loadout menu in the kill-cam.
It is now possible to view your soldier in the loadout tweaking screen, as well as change their appearance (this is most likely for those who have the SPECACT Kit DLC).

It’s now possible to view which kit you are picking up off of fallen teammates. It also shows a picture of the weapon you will be picking up if you center your view on the dropped kit. You can also notice that squad specializations show up in-game.
The location of teammates/squadmates who have recently died now show up on screen, on the mini-map, and in the full map in the loadout screen. It has recently been confirmed that the lightning bolt symbols will still appear for medics while other classes will see the skulls. Also, the distance to your closest objective is now shown on-screen. This applies to both Rush and Conquest.

The on-screen blood splatter has changed from the Beta. Blood everywhere!
There now seems to be on-screen reminders to either drop health or ammo for squad/teammates, or to request it.
Ribbons are now crooked!
 
I really hope (but very much doubt) that the retail game will have the same sensitivity options for vehicles for the mouse as BF2, in BF2 you could set a sensitivity for each vehicle for mouse controls. It was missing in BC2 and missing in the BF3 Beta. =/

That's something that will have to be asked for and patched in.
Since this is a multi-platform game, DICE is only able to do so much without creating two different versions of the same game.
 
TEHRAN HIGHWAY <---- this sounds like it's gonna be a bad ass map. Roof top warfare, yo.
 
Has anyone seen battlefield 3 benchmarks of Caspian boarder? and other sites have shown results but all using metro which is not at all CPU limited (I ran it fine on my 4400+ Athlon while Caspian was a about 8fps). I want to know how CPUs do on Caspian or other CPU intensive maps so i can choose my next platform accordingly BEFORE RELEASE!
 
I'm still trying to figure out why this matters to people. The Origin character name thing sucks yeah, but hell I changed mine myself with scrabble on my phone. It took all of 30 seconds.

(1) Some people may have more than 1 person in a household who want to play the game without having to buy multiple copies;
(2) Some people may want the option of restarting their stats/unlocks after becoming more familiar with the maps;
(3) Some people may want the option of having separate accounts for specializing in different classes;
(4) Some people may want the option to allow friends to play the game without them stuffing around on their main account.

Apart from the fact that really this is another example of less options being made available to players for no real good reason.
 
Yeah it was announced months ago but uncertainty about it came up when the first Battlelog pics showed multiple soldier slots. Turns out they are for players' console accounts.
