Best 1155 motherboard right now?

EVGA z68 FTW, unless you need more than 5 sata connections

There are so many boards available now.... This is hard to answer.
In terms of features and performance and some pretty cool heatsinks i would go with the Gigabyte G1 Sniper 2. Pretty sweet.

The G1 Sniper or the Maximus IV are the best out there.

Best bang for the buck is by far the Asrock Extreme3 Gen3. It has the looks of a high-end $200+ board (even gold polished caps, matte black pcb), two PCI-E 3.0 (yes, 3.0) running at 8x/8x in SLI/CFX, it's Z68, and much more for only $125. Crazy.

any 1155 board priced from 129 to 200ould be fine...the o/clocking comes from the cpu...the asrock board is a killer deal and giga has some great boards...look around and newegg amd see which one you like ...not hard and you cant really go wrong....

I'm very pleased with my MSI Z68A-GD80. Has three PCIe Gen 3 slots. Installed and booted up perfectly on the first try. Overclocks are a breeze, even for a simpleton overclocker such as myself.

In my sig... Good board for the gamers and the average to mid level overclocking (includes the killer nic and awesome creative onboard sound). The Asus Maximus IV is the best 1155 overall but comes at a price.

What is the best 1155 motherboard right now?
There is no one answer to this. Every board is a compromise due to the nature of the platform. Ultimately the platform only has 16 PCIe lanes off the CPU and 8 off the PCH and how those lines are divided up will be a major factor in which board is best for a given setup.

I'm a really big fan of the Asus Sabertooth. Reasonable price but built like a tank.
