Looking at the platimax 1200 for a build at the end of Nov for some xfire loving. Have two 500w that are quite old now still going, love the reliability.

I would get the 850 since the rock solid modular 450 enermax currently in my box needs to be upgraded for better cards.

I would use the Enermax Platinmax 750w unit for my next build, to hit the sweet spot for high efficiency for my power usage --and because the first high quality brand-name power supply I ever owned was an Enermax 430w, back in the days when the 5v rail was more important than 12v one.

I still have it.

O M G i would use this for my crossfire setup!!! because its a rok solid product!

I would go with the 850w, the 1200 would just be extreme overkill for my system.

I would use a Galaxy 1000 if they still made it. I have two large systems wired up with these units and they are bulletproof but getting old. I do like the new black coating/finish on the newer models as opposed to just the black paint which scuffs easily. (EVO 1250 would probably be my next choice). Only thing messing me up is the change in the modular connectors from "vertical" to "horizontal-" means I am going to have to rewire the whole thing when the time comes as opposed to just swapping the main unit/body.

I would go for the 1200 watt version for quad crossfire and overclocking headroom. Id want this powersupply for its clean consistant output.

I would use the Enermax Platimax 850 for my buddies system as he only has a 650 Corsair in it.

Need a case and psu for next build so I would use either of those enermax options!

I've only ever used Enermax for what must be about 15 years now. They are the best.

I'd probably use one of their cases since I do like the way they look. That or one of their Platimax PSUs if I went multiple GPUs.

I'll give the Platimax 850 a good look for my next build, but will probably be budget limited to something in the $150-range. My Liberty hasn't given me any excuse to look at something other than Enermax- still going strong since installation in 2006.

ENERMAX MAXREVO 1350 WATT, because I need more power for my system and it looks like a beast of a power supply, though an ENERMAX PLATIMAX 850 WATT would probably do the trick.

I would use a Phoenix Neo case with this 850 watt power supply. I think the Neo has a pretty sweet design.

I would probably use the 1200, running eyefinity requires a lot of graphics horsepower, maybe tri-fire or triple sli, and an 850 might cut it close :D

I would love to have one of the 1200W units, but these 850's look great also. The [H] review being very good is most important, but having the the modular cabling would great also. Then there is the Enermax name, they have always been a great name in PSU's. So far as I know anyway.

Thanks,
Mike

Great company with good support.I would use the Platimax 850, because I need a reliable high watt power supply. Can't go wrong.

I wouldn't mind using the 1200watter. Not because I need it, but because I would want to need it - and upgrade to use it!

Enenrmax Platimax, cause i'm to build a system which aims for maximum performance and efficiency :D

Oh my last system i used i had corsair hx750 perform duties over there... this one, it will be a bit special and psu is one of the most critical part, but often neglected part. I'd like to get the most out of the system and this psu, looks like "the one".

I would use whatever I won here, because it would be free.......

Then I would take pictures and send them to my friends......both of them.:p

I currently have a Galaxy Evo so only a Platimax 1200 would be in my next build. I would love to have one of the lower Platimax for my server though!

I need a PSU to replace my Platimax EPM1200EWT that run only 1 x ENGTX 580 and a i7-2600k , I will use the 1200 watts in a new build with a Crossair V and 2 GPU , so the 850 will be nice to replace my 1200 watts

I'd probably go for a Platimax over another Enermax model, since they're fully modular, quite efficient, and use the best platform Enermax currently has in production.
