League of Legends -- how many [H] regulars?

It's very unbalanced, which I'm fine with because I don't take it very seriously. It's like a fun little side game. If they start screwing up Summoner's Rift by trying to balance for Dominion, I'm going to be quite pissed off.

So my take on dominion.

Its a different sort of sidegame which is more fast paced and definitely has some balance issues. I agree that Riot needs to NOT nerf heroes to balance dominion. They have split items up to buy for the different maps, they should make heroes act slightly differently on each map imo. So heroes like Jax/Panth/Rammus/Shaco/Heimer aren't too OP for dominion but remain balanced for normal mode

jeez, guys, finished one of the longest games in recent memory

almost 90 kills on both sides!!

I won my first Dominion match yesterday pretty easily, just picked Tryndamere, and it was over.

If you're gonna do Dominion, pick a GREAT 1 vs 1 character, and you can pretty much hold your own

Working on a PC upgrade this week and having issues so I might not be able to play for a couple days or more. It's really tormenting me.

Figured I'd update the firmware on my Vertex SSDs since I was going to have to reinstall Win7 anyway with the new mobo and cpu. Simple stuff... done it before. 2 of the Vertex's flashed fine, the newer one (still a Vertex though) with different nand flash hung. Now it's screwed up and I have to try the destructive firmware flasher that OCZ emailed me today when I get home. I just hope it works.

It's going to be retarded fast when it's done and I overclock the crap out of it, so at least I have that to look forward to.

Dominion is terribly unbalanced. too fast pace for a lot of the champs who rely alot on their ult. I tried playing amumu on it but realized rammus is 4x the champ amumu is for dominion. It seems like dominion wildly favors dps.

There must be a lot of people playing it as well because last night I joined summoner's rift and was playing against total utter noobs.

play draft dominion. Helps get rid of some of the OP heroes. Rammus is always a ban as he can just do his spin and ninja a point then hold people off for 30+ seconds depending on your teams heroes

Its just like when a new champ comes out. Everyone plays it, then forgotten a few days later

Yeah, when playing Dominion, I just select Tryndamere and it's all over, he's really one of the best 1 vs 1 champions out there.

Dominion isn't about kills, you can win EASILY with 0 kills. My brother and his buddies have only lost Dominion once since beta, they all go +5 boots, fast cap/move fast item, and then stack Phantom Dancers for the move speed. Just get champs with CC and run around capping and they can't keep up. Sure, you'll die really quickly in fights but you'll win the game.

So cool story, one of my friends (who isn't very good at LoL) is an antitroll. I have been duoqueuing with him and carrying him and every single game has had no trolls on our team. It is incredible.

I don't think anybody will pay your prices here fattypants, i COULD be wrong, but nobody plays Nasus or Sivir enough to want those skins that badly.

I'm just posting them at 20% under ebay's going rates. I figure I'll give the forum first dibs.

That was your biggest problem. We are techies and not schmucks. The most someone HERE would pay, THE MOST, for the Sivir skin, would be $5 AT MAX. And most people here that play, probally went to PAX to get it for free.

I am assuming you were Brand.... assuming that: why did you purchase two hats? You know the bonus doesn't stack, right? You should've bought 1 hat, 4 Archangel Staves and some boots (or, if you don't want boots, another Archangel Staff). The 3% of mana bonus stacks (so you get another 3% for each one.) Turns out to be a bigger benefit that a one-time 30% bonus + 120 AP once you hit 18 and max out the +1000 mana from the first staff.

Sorry to burst your bubble, but people pay more than $5 bucks for skins all the time. Even us [H] guys. :)

anybody want to play Dominion for a while this Saturday or Sunday?

If we set up a time in this thread, we could all meet in the [H]ard channel, and team up for some Dominion!

Any takers?

Oof, don't know if I want to start playing this game or not. Used to pvp a decent amount in WoW, and always have loved multiplayer games. Up to now, the reason I've stayed away from LOL is I saw too many people overplaying it haha..

worth getting into?

I think so, it's a lot of fun and free. Now with Dominion out you can play some really quick games 10-30 minutes for that game every time, whereas some of the classic games can last an hour or more.

I also feel Dominion is a great place to learn champ abilities and stuff since it happens so quick.

Dominion is the worst place to learn a champ.

It's like learning to drive by being dropped into a car going 80 mph in a straight line. Make any turning movement at all and you'll wipe out and die. You have no clue how to speed up, slow down, or even start the car, but it doesn't matter because the accellerator is stuck at 80. Then after 20 minutes you're lifted out,it's over, and you're like, "Wow, I'm really good at driving." Yet in reality you have no clue. Sounds really fun.

yeah. I suck ass at LoL, well mostly because i rarely play, but ive been playing Dominion a ton since it came out and im usually in top 2 scores on blind picks, and i actually feel like i play good. Definitely gives a false sense of knowing how to play in the regular LoL matches.

rofl, good point. It's a good place to learn how to play Dominion though, haha... imagine that :p
