XFX 6870 All Games Freezes

can't go wrong with either one, imo. just get the one that fits your budget the best

How about the hard drive failing?

for shits and giggles have you tried checking your event viewer logs to see if there is some critical errors or errors that may give you a hint of what could be going on here. HDD failure can be possible as posted just before. It could be in the early stages of failure.

I've checked, unfortunately nothing of help, there's only an event of not shutting down properly, since I have to hold the power button to shut down.

After I moved my computer from one spot in the house to another I've had no problems, rock solid. The only things that changed with this move is that I'm no longer using the onboard soundcard, and I'm not using the HDMI port on my graphics card. So for now I'm blaming one of those two things. Oh, and I'm also using a different power outlet.

I will begin testing these things now.
