Corsair 600T Fan Decision

Well the side panels stick out more than the 650D. According to redbeard the 600T insides are the exact same as the 650D

Newegg stocks 2 600T black models.. a CC600T and a 600TM.

Well ya, Its not flat like the 650D

I got the 600TM

The insides are the same, but the dimensions are totally different. The 600T is longer and wider and just a hair shorter than the 650D (20.00 and 20.05)

Why the switch? It's the same on the inside as the 650D
I took delivery of a 600t 2 weeks ago.

It has the 700rpm fans. As noted elsewhere the fan
controller does not seem to have any effect.

My gpu (GTX-460) is MUCH louder (when under load) than the system fans.

Taking the side panel will effect system temperature, turning the fans up/down
does not.

I would much rather see faster (noisier) system fans.

I am considering 3 Scythe Gentle Typhoon AP-15 120s (2 for the top and one for the rear) as a fix

It's not a crappy proprietary fan problem, we just wanted quieter fans than stock.

We'll make the higher RPM versions available for people who want to increase cooling potential.

I don't want to sound harsh, but you bought the case knowing it had a solid side panel and 700 RPM 200mm fans. We never misrepresented what the case was. That being said, we realize that everyone has a different opinion on what's most important, cooling versus noise. We also realize that what's "loud" to you might be quiet to me, and what's good cooling to me, might be sub-par to you.

People have asked for a side panel with a window and mesh option, so we offered that. People are asking for higher RPM fans, so we'll make those available too.

I think we're one of the few companies who are listening to the requests and offering upgrades for people who feel like this. Most companies, if you don't like the product, you just use it for a while, then get rid of it and get something else, or you mod it to your liking.

We've offered USB 3 and SATA 3 upgrade kits for the 800D, side panel windows for the 600T, and we're looking at other things you guys have asked for.

So do I think any of our cases have been "failures" or "sub-par" or "crappy"? Far from it. I think we may have overestimated which users cared about which features a bit, but by and large, I think once you've used a Corsair case and a competitor's case, you'll notice the little things we do that make it better and easier to use.

Redbeard how do get better fans for my 600t? The front 200mm fan really blows and I can barely feel any air through the hard drive cage as my gpus cook. Also i modded the top three 5 1/4 bays to hold a San Ace 90+ cfm fan mounted into a lian-li black mesh fan bay holder running off the fan controller. Feels like it has like three speeds as you turn it uo going from medium, to high, to really fast and noisey. I mean I can really feel lots of air even at medium rushing to cool my cpu heatsink. Highly recommend others give it a try. I bought the part at Performance-pcs. Only thing is the front 200mm fan needs more work...
Thanks

Just ordered the white version of this fine looking case...
In a few reviews the top 200mm fan looks like an awful tight fit when using an aftermarket cpu cooler such as the Xigmatek Gaia I purchased, so I ordered 3 120mm Xigmatek XLF-F1254's to replace the 200mm and the boring plain Jane rear black exhaust fan.
Plus those 120mm's fit nicely up top and remain hidden while giving you ample room for any kind of cpu modding you may have in store, which my Gaia cooler will have a push and pull config with 2 more Xigmatek XLF-F1255's...
Sorry hope I didn't veer of topic too much....

How can you hide 2 fans up top?

I've tried to put 2 120s up top and close the top, Wont latch.

Ok, I stand corrected.

I guess when I tried the 1st time and wouldnt fit, I thought they wouldnt, But I just tried again and they do.

My bad.

Would be better if the bottom mesh wasnt there though, Same as it would be if the front mesh wasnt.

Ok I don't get this at all quit bitching about it. If you don't like the case and it's setup don't buy it? No go buy it have someone ask for help and then someone else turns around and bitches about corsair and how they "cheated" people. Did you guys know that redbeard doesn't get paid for being on here and helping us he chooses to do it. Also I agree with him I owned the 600T I liked it better then my 800D honestly and I would buy the white one if I were to build a new rig. Yes the fans arnt great so buy better ones the hard drives move around a lot and give lots of options so why bitch?

Great case corsair and of course redbeard is awsome help.

I just stated the fact that cpu cooling may be difficult with the standard 200mm fan...
I have been reviewing cases for 6 months in the $100-$200 price range and the 600t is in the top 5 for everything a case enthusiast looks for...so chill!

I'm not talking about you lol I loved my 600T if I could get it back some how i would god it was a great looking case.

Anyone figure out the optimal fan config for these? Is running 2-120's up top better than the single 200mm? Also I have heard to make them push air in instead of pulling air out? Some may already know you can get a 200mm x 30mm fan in the front if you are willing to delete HD bay setup and then shift the other over a hair or to the floor of the case. I have seen this done already.
