AOL Discussing Merger With Yahoo

AOL is garbage, and of a low ethic. It would be best if AOL died. DO NOT MERGE YAHOO, IT WILL KILL YOU.

This is something I never understood with some of the forum users here. No one's forcing you to use their service, why the hate to the point of wanting to see these companies go bust? :confused:

It's called SPAM. All 3 of these spam way too much, and in a way where they try and act like they are the best, when they are usually the worst.

Making the spam even worse... and by spam, I mean seeing it in every place they obviously can advertise (join us on facebook! ... ring a bell? Someone PAYS for that, it doesn't just start happening because facebook wasn't even popular back then)

That's why i dislike those companies... and especially Facebook fits that description.
 
What does AOL even do anymore? In the 90s/early 00's it was the foremost service for making fun of. Now, noone I know has it. :(
 
Yahoo! Sports is worth big money IMO. I could easily see it getting spun off / sold off, though personally I think there is attachment to the Yahoo! branding.

Yahoo! Finance and (to a lesser extent) Yahoo! Movies are both popular sites.

I think Yahoo! just needs to slim way down. They have some valuable sites.
 
Dont ya know that two negatives = a positive! So yes it is possible for two losers to combine and make a winner.
 
The only thing I care about with Yahoo is their fantasy football league/setup.
