Just picked this bad boy up from Costco.com and it is sweet for a TN panel. The anti-glare panel works really well as my monitor is pointed directly at a bright window. Here are the specs:

1920 x 1080P / 30M:1 Dynamic Contrast / 1ms Response Time / 16:9 Aspect Ratio / 2 x HDMI / VGA / Integrated speakers with SRS Premium Sound

ViewSonic's VX2753mh-LED features an LED backlight 27" ultra-thin widescreen Monitor with up to 40% energy savings compared to a regular 27" monitor. Environmentally friendly mercury free VX2753mh-LED offers Full HD 1920x1080 resolution, two HDMI inputs, external power supply, 1ms response time, 30,000,000:1 MEGA Dynamic Contrast ratio, book stand Option and SRS Premium Sound. Ideal for both home and office with a glossy black finish. Did you get it yet?? How is it?

Want to get one for a client, but can't find any reviews for it yet.

This is basically an advertisement, isn't it?

Either way, this product describes itself as total shit.

Been running for 3 days now. Looks great and I like it better than the sammy 2770h I have on my other rig. Text is very sharp and games rock with no signs of lag. Contrast and brightness are very good. Don't know how you can call a 30 million to one contrast spec and 1200:1 static contrast with 1ms junk. I likey so far! Only con is no DVI, but just had to adjust my Radeon 5850 HDMI overscan and it is perfect now.

FYI, looks like Walmart has these listed for $329.00 now. I paid $349.00 plus tax from Costco, but no biggie I am going to keep it.

4 day update, really loving this monitor. Looks like a keeper. Just realized it does sRGB and switched my Radeon 5850 pixel format accordingly. I can not see any backlight bleed and the 2D text output is very sharp. Only minor gripe I might have is that even when my overscan is set to 0, there is about 3 mm of dark screen on all sides, vice completely filling the screen. Don't know if the 27" size already takes this into account, but my Sammy displays pixels to the very edge of the bezel. Again very minor comment and not really a problem. All in all, this is the best TN panel I have ever seen.

Typical cheap TN panel smoke and mirrors for the masses....

Yup, cool thing is I can ditch my klipsch PC speaks since this has integrated "Premium Sound" all for less than I paid just for speakers..I bet they didn't calculate that power savings in their 40% either. More like 100% power I'll save.

What's with all the retarded haters here???? Just posting my experience with this monitor. No you do not want to ditch your speakers, but this TN panel is good. Just like you would not want to dump your speakers for any monitor that is out there, no matter what the cost. For anyone who is in the market for a low priced 27" monitor that I think is the current best TN, then you may want to check this one out.

The problem was that you posted the specs, which mean absolutely nothing.

Had you just said it was a 1920x1080 TN panel that you thought looked nice, no one would have given you grief over it.

You could have originally said that without sounding like a used-car salesman.

I think most people in the TN market now are looking at 120hz monitors. Could be wrong.

Sorry, for breaking the unwritten geek forum protocol, LOL!!! All you dumbazzes can bask in your forum policing and I'll enjoy my new 27" POS monitor. Jeez, last time I try to help out with a review, later Nerdzz!!!

I have the previous model VX2739wm. It was standing besides Panasonic IPS Alpha (aka IPS pro) TV while I was calibrating it.

I think lately people got so overwhelmed with IPS monitors that they forgot to check for the latest improvements in the field of TN panels. If you read the review that TFT Central has for my monitor you will see that a TN panel is able to produce deeper black and contrast than many lot more expensive IPS panels and after calibration the colors look great. I can confirm the same thing by comparing it to my Panasonic TV:

Check out the blurring on IPS vs fast TN panel.

It just looks like a Large TN monitor to me. Am i missing something here?

Yes, you do. Newer TN panels are great. Actually in many ways TN is better than IPS and VA.

Such as? Aside from response time, I can't really think of anything other panel types can't match or aren't better at than TN.

To simply dismiss a montior because it's a TN is ignorant. This monitor may in fact be a peice of shit, but everyone is jumping to conclusions without any firsthand knowledge of it. Sounds like the mentality of Apple fanboys.

Do not forget the price as a factor. I got this monitor (ViewSonic VX2739wm) for $ 250 from a local store since it is discontinued product I suppose. Please name one 27 incher (IPS) that comes even close to that price.

Some people like to do photo editing and web design. Others like to do some gaming and surf the net on their monitors. This is why there is a variety of options on the market. But buying an IPS for gaming is still giving away a lots of money for something that can be had for less (a lot less in my case).

Oh, and please let me know of a 27 incher with an IPS panel that eliminated ghosting to the degree of a TN.

BTW the resolution vs size when it comes to 27" 1080p is an exaggerated issue. The monitor has very good sharpness and details and the text is very crisp. Colors are proper. I do not use clear text options under XP nor under 7.

Anyone got the input lag specs for this monitor? Is it a sub 1 frame like its older brother the vx2739wm?

In case anyone is interested, I found some stats on the input lag for this monitor.

http://multimedia.benchmark.rs/monitori/test_viewsonic_vx2753mh/strana_3/

It's not in English but the translation produces this:

"Input lag on this model ranged from 0ms, 17ms and 34ms, between which the values of 0 and 17 ms were most common, while rarely appearing value of 34ms. "

So it looks like it would be a pretty good gaming monitor. Do you think by what this says it would be considered a sub 1 frame? I guess it would depend on an average of how many 0, 17, and 34 he actually got?

I have been the proud owner of a VX2739wm for about 8 months now and I have never once regretted my decision. My upgrade was from a 1280x1024 19" LG Flattron monitor, for those who were curious. Considering my desk/chair arangement, ambient lighting, and need for response over viewing angles, this is perfect for my setup. Grats OP for finding a great monitor at a fairly reasonable price.

And for all those who look at specs and claim it to be a shit monitor without actually seeing one in person, I am simply going to have to disagree. I'm not saying it's the best on the market, but for my needs, and for many other gamers out there, this monitor is great!!

For the owners of this screen, a question for you:
if you set the brightness level on this monitor to 0%, open a word/textpad/wahtever with white background and point a camera (even smartphone cam will do) to it, does the image have a "wave" effect?

Looks fine (and the post definitely brought out the negativity from the Korean 1440p fans). Only problem I see with it considering the price is lack of VESA mount holes.
