Picked it up a few days ago and I am loving it! Level 19 Hunter add me on steam if you still play. NOL1M1TMAN.

Got the GotY edition for 7.49, can go wrong for the price.

LOVE this game!

I read things that it gets boring and is repetitive, I went ahead and got it, love it so far

Its boring and repetitive if you play SP..... MP co-op is where its at.

Mp rocks. Literally. I got so many hours out of this game that at 7.49 it has to be one of the best investment/return games in history.

I picked it up over the steam summer sale. Ended up putting over 200 hours in it before it started getting boring. Its one of those few games that you almost feel bad about only paying 7.50 for it. Its definitely a ton more fun with friends, and you can switch around who plays what class and its almost like playing a different game. (Probably why i have like 8 characters) Looking forward to #2.

I got the normal one for 5 bucks, I only play single player stuff because my ping is horrible :) but it's fine though even when I force vsynch in the drivers, it still doesnt synch...D:

I bought it during the steam summer sale 2010 and played it quite a bit. I'd be down for a reinstall and replay through because they added achievements since I last played. Steam ID in sig.

Also, make sure you download this:Borderlands Advanced Settings Tool

Still can't change fov right?

Yeah there were configuration tools available shortly after release that allowed you to change the FOV. I even remember doing it manually in the .ini files with no problem.

mp co-op is the only way to play the game in my opinion.. single player is boring as hell once you finish the main story line which takes all of 7-10 hours to do depending on if you stick to just those quests..

This was a game that I was literally waiting for before it released...there was a lot of drama involving broken street dates etc...I put over 160 hours in single player. I need to go back and play the dlc's now that I think about it.

just finished playthrough #2 and it was blast going through it at a high level, I plowed through the entire game like in 3 days.

now everything is level 70+ and kicking my butt....

Totally loved this game and I hope #2 is just as good.

Love this game. Bought it back on day one, bought all the DLCs, and played the holy hell out of it. May have to fire it up again soon. :)

I got the GOTY a while back on steam for $7.50 and let me tell you that was the best $7.50 I've ever spent. The game can get a little boring on the 2nd play through but playing co-op with friends is great.

Played it when it first came out with my brother. Is a fun game, but the way they steadily continue to increase the amount of cursing done by the badguys to the point where at higher levels you can't go 2 seconds without someone cursing got a bit rediculous to us. I don't mind the occasional cursing but eventually it just doesn't even fit and seems like it's just done because they can.

Also, when we played it (before any of the dlc's) there just weren't enough weapon choices and whatnot for my tastes. Most of the drops we found after a while were just meh, hardly an 'upgrade' and some gun types just seemed bad compared to others.

To be fair, we played it co-op on the ps3 so maybe it's a bit different on the pc, I dunno.

I played it and beat it when it first came out. Haven't played it since. Though I've seen a lot of people talking about it and there has been tons of sales going on so I'm thinking of loading it up and giving it another run through.

Love the loot system in Borderlands!

Going on farming missions against Crawmerax is always fun :)

I dunno, the only things the bad guys say are more like "Strip the flesh, salt the wound!" and "More meat for me!" based on the 200 hours I put in.

I would agree that some guns kinda suck, rocket launchers kinda suck compared to SMGs for example.

Yeah, I don't remember all that much cussing except with certain NPC dialogue, and I didn't find it overdone or annoying.

I will add, I also really enjoyed all the DLC except Mad Moxxi's underground arena thing

He's easy to kill if you have the right gear and 3 other players to join you. Plus, he'll drop quite a bit more loot too.

My brother and I have been playing co-op. Never tried a 4 person run. Need to get a couple more people this game and get them leveled up high enough to do it. Thankfully it is very easy to run a new character through a first play through now with my character.

I actually enjoyed the SP more than the MP. Mainly, MP with strangers just meant a zerg to all the chests and loot everything in it first before anyone else gets to it...whether or not you need or can use the weapons.

Bypass every enemy, let the stragglers die because it's just "more loot for me" attitude. I have yet to have a single player heal me when in trouble.

I got it off steam + all DLCs... can't play anything... won't load for me. I get Black screen and then system locks up, no task manager, no alt tab... no Ctrl alt del... nothing caps lock won't change so I know system totally froze up. I've tried everything I can google to fix it...

mad moxxi's underground arena was a friggin bitch.. especially the one section where is was 20 total rounds 5 rounds per main round.. thats 100 friggin rounds of fighting enemies.. it got so repetitive and boring i almost quit 3/4 of the way through.. but the arena gets really fun when you have 4 people in co-op playing it.

if anyone wants to play without steam i'll gladly join in.. since i have the standalone version.

got mine last year + all DLC (except claptrap) for 15 bux. Then got claptrap's revolution when it came out for 5 on another sale.

:D

still havent beaten claptrap or... that one with the new cars. i skipped them in playthrough's 1 and 2, and just want to finish them in 2.5.

Cursing really must bother you huh..

I suggest avoiding M-rated game for starters.

Agreed. Playing a coop game with random strangers is always a terrible experience. Just like L4D. Except L4D seems to have all the drill instructor wannabes in it. I'm not sure which is worse, too much coordination or none whatsoever. :D

Yeah, as far as the cursing thing goes, there's nothing wrong with the occasional swear every now and again as long as it's not over the top. But it annoys me even more when they go out of their way to 'fake swear' by saying things like 'gosh-darn-it' and other silly substitutes.

Yes, because the only thing that makes a game rated M is if they jam it full of cursing.

Like I said, I don't get bothered by cursing in moderation, but when me and my brother got towards the end of the game every single badguy that had a voice used some form of bitch, shit, fuck, or ass.

Hey while we're at it lets take every rated R movie and put in a 10 min fully nude hardcore sex scene. Some of them do it, we might as well put it in all of them even if it doesn't have any reason to be there. Then if someone doesn't like it, we just tell them "tough shit, don't watch rated R movies". Hell, now that I think about it, we could do it for M rated games too. I perused the Skyrim forums for a while and a lot of people over there seemed to want the game to have nudity and sex implemented.

Not always terrible. Most of the time, though, it is. I had some great times back in the day with D1 and D2 online. Sometimes you end up meeting some really nice/cool people and end up making good friends.

i love this game .. add me

currently playing with a lvl 36 soldier
Name: ImFam0usRED

I've had it for a long time, but never really played deep into it. Maybe co-op would be nice. How does it work with the mission system? For instance, if I'm level 10 and someone else is level 30 and has already done the quests I'm on, what happens? Can they come back and help me? Will my game be "scaled" to level 30? Will I pop into their gameworld and just keep the experience/items to take back to my own?
