An app that lets you track the police? Tell me this thing isn't going to be abused by criminals. The kicker? The app is made by the cops.

"This new app not only gives residents in Surrey the ability to view what crimes are happening on their streets in a convenient format, but crucially provides them with live updates on where and how their local neighbourhood police teams are taking action to tackle issues."

This would be awesome!! That way we can block the streets off for a race while the cops are dealing with a homicide across town.

I think the app is broken - it shows 10 squad cars at the local Dunkin Donuts.

Considering they work for us, I think it's fair that we know that they are indeed working and have a way to check on them to make sure.

I was thinking more along the lines of...

Considering they think we don't have any expectation of privacy if we're outside of our house then they shouldn't either... Fuck 'em!

Anyone who thinks this app is a smart idea is a effing moron that includes the brass at the department that though this shit up.

A varied and unpredictable patrol pattern is the only way to patrol being predictable or repetative will get you killed.

"...ok guys the cops are 10 minutes away. That means we've got 9 minutes to rob the place and get out..."

Later in the back of a patrol car - "oops, I forgot they don't necessarily follow speed limits"
