This gives new meaning to the phrase “going out with a bang”.

A company named Holy Smoke will take human cremation ashes and pack them into the ammunition of your choice for a mere $1250 bucks. I’m sure you can think up some very creative uses for ash-packed shotgun shells.

One pound of human ash plus your bereaved cash will yield 250 shotgun shells, 100 rifle cartridges, or 250 pistol cartridges

I am sure that any local gun shop can reload the ammo and throw in a pinch of your ashes for a lot cheaper than that. Or just do it yourself.

If you're mixing it with the gun-powder, it'll just explode/stay in your hand.

It would be nice if the actually managed to get it into the projectile.

carbon and unburned propellant from the deflagration will be on the projectile all the way to its destination.

Yes, and it would be even better if you made it mil-spec and the sealant was made with the ash as well. It would carry alot more of it to the destination that way.
