I suppose I am just easily annoyed. Half the time they aren't doing anything that I against the rules, but just being generally annoying.

You're missing out. I pretty much only play online in a party with friends. We do party chat so we never hear any of the things that people say. It's an absolute blast.

That's a privately maintained site with no connection to my team or Microsoft. All of the XBLPET gamertags however are members of my team. We choose the phonetic alphabet so that our tags would be from a known set, so you'll always be able to tell if you are dealing with a real enforcer or an impersonator.

I really don't feel that way. I honestly don't ever give it a second thought so I don't feel I am missing out, but at least its good to know that something attempted to done about them.

I refuse to play first person shooters on consoles so most of the games I play are single player anyway.
 
I've never got why the xbox staff care so much about people stating they are gay or not gay or whatever. Is it really that offensive? :confused:

We actually used that experience to modify our policy on sexual identification. Prior to that incident it was a bannable offense to mention any sexual orientation, afterward we decided that self-identification is fine, as long as it isn't done in a provocative or prurient manner. Identification of others, even if factually correct, is still a bannable offense.

Nothing like that at all. The root issue is that while games and movies on the LIVE service all have ratings, things like Gamertags and user profiles do not, so by default we have to treat them like they have an ESRB rating of "E". The analogy we use is that if you paid to see "Scarface" in a movie theater, the word "F***" is used 182 times in that movie, and that's Ok because you and everyone else in there paid for that experience and have an expectation of what you will see and hear. However if you stood in the lobby of the same theater and said "F***" 182 times the management would probably ask you to leave because you are no longer in the context of the experience, and are in fact out where children might be waiting to see a "G" rated film so it's simply not appropriate there.

With regard to sexual orientation, we actually partnered with several LGBT groups to help develop our policy, as they made an excellent point that simply stating one's orientation isn't necessarily a "R" rated activity. We agreed and adjusted the policy accordingly.
 
You spend $60.00 for a game and you have to pay to play online. I've never bought into that. I guess I'm a gaming dinosaur because I refuse to "Pay 2 Play". I guess that comes with having console-itis. I've never played World of Warcraft or any of the mmorgp's for that same reason. I can still play the games I love over Xfire. I do miss gamespy though...."Let's Get On With The Killing"

I have a lot of tattoos and I have several friends that look similar to the dude in the middle. You show up to the interviews looking normal and then after you are hired you slowly start to show your ink, sport a mohawk, etc....

Its a hilarious web site that lists people lying and begging to get accounts back after they were banned (they get the stuff from the official xbox forums)

For instance some people go through 50+ forced offensive name changes before xbox enforcement bans them. They always beg for one more name change.

Or the guys who lie and say they weren't hacking... when their avatar is a color that can only be gotten by hacking.

Boris isn't all that unusual for Microsoft, I know a couple people with as many or more tattoos and more piercings. Generally whenever we see someone in a tie the first thing people think is "Someone here to interview, or sell something". It's very casual, even the VPs are in worn jeans and t-shirts. So much so that some groups actually have "Formal Friday" vs. "Casual Friday" at other companies, so that people can dress up a bit. Overall Microsoft works very hard to be accomodating of a wide array of beliefs, attitudes, and ideas.

I'm surprised no one has commented on the coffee cup Boris is holding. The article links to a high res version of the photo. That should show how accepting Microsoft can be :D

Do you have a specific form or EMail where I can report possible Aimbotters or modders? I have encountered a few, and have an HDMI capture card to show possible evidence..
